Why play poker? I play poker because I think it is the card game most beautiful in the world! Relaxes me, moves me, by joys and sorrows, is like going on a roller coaster.

why play poker ?

for me personally it has to be the challenge in a good game

and the money is the mark of how you are playing - in theory at least

I love a challenge / strategy and for me playing poker online wins everytime over playing regular computer games (although I was a big fan of civilisation back in the day)

for me poker is the perfect combination of strategy and practice like chess with the added rush of it ultimately coming down to money - its a battle of wits, discipline, patience and in long games stamina

even grinding playing ABC poker in the low stakes cash games is enjoyable because then its you almost playing your own demons -

you know how to play and win ... but can you keep your own lose crazy chasing demons at bay ?

in the mid stakes / live games / MTT's IMHO its about creativity, strategy, cunning and importantly knowing when to use them ... and when to stick to the "rules"

you have to love a game where most of the time the correct answer / decision is "depends"

I'm playing poker for 2 reasons (sorry for my English I'm French) :

First : My interest for this game, learn more and more about the most technical and exciting game.

Second : For spend time with friends and have fun.

Well honestly ? i saw the movie : Rounders , and from there i basically fell into the game , the adrianaline the rush , its so high i love it .
and it does show how strong someone mentally is.


Thats where the patience , cunning , aggresion , and skill comes into play.

well different people have different motives for playing poker. Some love gambling. Some want to win. Others want to prove themselves. Some just care about the money there are a number of things that people play for. Some people play because they have nothing better to do etc. If you want to win its a long and arduous trail because it is natural to lose at cards. It wont be fun or anything liek that maybe not even rewarding but if you still want to go down that path you can.

I didn't like holdem when it was first introduced to me, however, the more I play the more I like it. Just so many things to consider and remember. I time I hope to win some real money! lol

poker rules!!!!! is the best sport, but everyone needs to do some fizical action beside it for the health. i play poker every day and i just cant have enough of it. some times when i lose i think " it's time for a few days of brake", but just cant do that. looool.
