I like to check my stats often (especially when I'm winning) to make sure I'm not getting into too many pots. What is a good percentage of flops to see? I think I average 25-30%. Is that too many? or not enough?. I like to keep my win/saw showdown percentage above 80%. What is normal?..What is good.?
A tight player often fold 70% or more pre flop, but it depends about your opponents as well.
If the game are very lose you can adjust your game.
To track your play and your opponents play you could use some software like poker-spy or poker office.
That way you can keep track on your play and see if you need to improve your game.

this is an older thread, but I thought it was worth looking at again. I see about 25% flops. Sometimes more or less, depending on my mood and the cards I am dealt. If I could only learn how to make the most of the cards I did play, I would be very happy.
you should average 1 flop per 25-30 hands to be considered "tight." I like to play tight mmost of the time and pick my hands very carefully. This is different than most but I find it works out better in the end.
lol , really funny man but you've got a point there. though i rarely see those action junkies who play looser and reach the final table. the reason for that is - the tighter players.
genius and who said playing poker had to be serious ...
but seriously
25-35% ... is ok I guess if your averaging everything
but look at it like this - if you have a run of great cards then your flop % should be 100% if you have a run of bad cards your % to the flop rate should be 20% or less
or why not zero ?
well this is where IMHO having an averaged fixed number in your head can be a bit counterproductive
if I'm at a table that is so passive that they let me see virtually every flop unchallenged or with little tricky preflop play (ie. you can see the strong hands coming a mile off) then I'm going to see every damn flop I can that has potential to do damage ... the goalpost moved and all the action and tactics can start with post flop play - thats dangerous for them and good for me ... so my average % to the flop at a table like this would be potentially very high (until someone gets some balls and starts coming back at me)
if the table is tricky then I'm going to have to buckle down and look at the game more preflop ... so my average % to the flop will be much lower (or rather more tight aggressive play) - because they are going to beat me off every hand preflop or on the flop
rambling now - but I think what I'm getting at is you should play to the table and play to your cards
not a set % which is percieved as being an "ideal" average
cheers scrawnybob

If you are in the right game on the inter net with the RIGHT bank roll/ Game roll Requirement
100%
Yes you did read it right I am saying if the above is correct see EVER FLOP. Depending on HOW many outs you have depends on HOW much you bet, The More OUTS the more Bet, NO OUTS FOLD
I'm assuming the original poster is using the stats on AP?, % flops seen is a slightly misleading statistic but mine is 39%. More usefull stats are % of hands won with flops seen 44% and your raise stats. The reason I say this is you are going to see more flops in limit games and drawing games, a win % of 80 at showdown is pretty high, I'd say carry on the way you are as mine is only 66% and trust me, of the 34% I lose, 98% are the best hand preflop, but I am up over 30x original deposit on AP.
btw Gypsy, where do u play and what's yer screen name?
