i say its a bit of both
Of course it's also skill, otherwise you won't see always the same people on the Finaltables the whole time, but without any luck also the most skillful player won't win a tourny.
I would say it's around 65% skill and 35% luck, but really hard to say in general and you have to view it from a longtime view, like 1 year or so.
if you have only luck than it's not for a long time
of course without luck you'll win nothing
when I lose, I think it's bad luck. When I win i think it's skill![]()
It's really a combination of both, you will never win without luck and you will never win without skill especially in tournament play. Unfortunatly it seems that online you need a little more luck than skill and that's understandable because you cannot "see" your opponents. However, at the end of the day, a skilled player will beat a lucky player because eventually,,,luck runs out.
btw, if there was no such thing as bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all.
Well, i think that poker is game of skill which include luck. It depends which side you watch it![]()
Don't let anyone tell you poker is just luck, because its not it involves skill know the right time to call fold bluff and chase take a lot to learn and master and thats only online, live games are completely different having skill to keep a straight face on a monster hand or make yourself look week to draw a bet/call or raise. but don't ever let someone tell you there a great poker player without having a bit of luck, because its not true. Poker is a game of skill but a little luck can sure go a long way
if poker was just a luck game ..... we would all do the same and there would be no pros..... poker i would say is about 70% skill v 30% luck .... look any guy with 72 os can beat aces ..... but a player who knows and is ready to bet the better hands is the guy with skill and he does that every time then in the long term he will win ....
