I personally like freerolls because it is fast gameplay with no real risk besides wasting your time. I also don't have the money to spend on poker myself but i'll welcome any money i get from a freeroll

Default I agree

THere may be many donkeys in freerolls but if you can avoid them and playin premium hands only it is very possible to place. I played a smaller freeroll on Sunday and played 20th out of 500 (only winning a couple dollars) but whatever, It was good practice.

i like freerolls because i am usually the donkey that busts people with 2-3 offsuit. i play the same way for cash though. raiseing every other hand preflop. my style has paid off but only works when i double up early in tourneys or sit at a table that is short stacked and buy in double what they have. im a bully.

Im not too sure id be bragging about this kind of play, but overall I guess to each his own,but the bullying concept is very intelligent if you know when to slow down and backoff

I feel that freerolls are time consuming but if you do good sometime the reward is worth it. I have placed in the money acouple of times and have had a decent bank roll with out depositing any money. i play at pokerstars come and look me up batesjr29. see you at the tables

Freerolls are definitely worth playing.
Plus if you're already a good player but don't like the idea of gambling (I kind of fit into this mold, been playing a while but only for money with friends maybe 10 times a year), you can start a bankroll this way.
Last year, I got 30th in a freeroll which got me 80 cents. I played the easiest games until I had it up to 10 bucks, then played my favourite style, $1 sit-n-gos with ten people, plus 5-card draw sit-n-gos for $2. Built it to $100 and cashed out with that pure profit. I don't play to win money but I found these levels fun and hey that's a free three cases of beer!

The point is freerolls build your skill and can give you a small bankrool to start with. Try em!

Red face

made $26 playing the free rolls played the lowest limit at FTP for cash and gave back $18 in a day and a half now trying to rebuild.

Intend to try cash SNGs next at lowest level when i reach $20 again.

What it tells me is that if i played cash games at any level at the moment i would be slaughtered so the freerolls are the current level of my ability until i improve.

I will use the freerolls to practice position and aggression.

Was top three tonight for $15, large stack, pushed all in on the button with a good pocket only to be rolled by the big stack with aces.cost me nothing to learn even good cards in position get beaten frequently.
