on that note. ferguson turned that into 20k within a few mor months, so it can be done. be patient. being a siting duck for an hour is better than losing your bankroll due to bordome.
I have cashed in a bunch of freerolls lately. Winning a dollar here, or nine dollars there, isn't so much about the bank roll - although cool, as much as learning to play in a large field and building confidence and skill. But in terms of bankroll, I was very reluctant to deposit on sites until I could get a feel for if I would earn or lose money. Experiencing micro swings of a few dollars I hope will prepare me for when I start to play for bigger stakes. So when I say 2 cents, I mean it.
I see freerolls as a very heavy time sink. Sure, I love to play a lot of hands for free, especially for some form of prize if you really make it far, but you always end up having a lot of bad players in free rolls since it's... well... free. Since people feel they have nothing to lose, you can't play a typical style. It's like playing at home with people who barely know how to play the game. Sometimes it's just a crapshoot on playing freerolls that it takes too much patience for me. 2700+ people for a chance at maybe 5 bucks? I feel my money is worth more by playing say, a 90 person 3.30 KO tourney on Fulltilt. :P
