Thread: Freerolls - Not worth playing?

  1. #1

Thumbs up Freerolls - Not worth playing?

I read the page about freerolls being a waste of time. I'm not sure I agree. Ferguson took 6 moths to get to $6.50. Don't you thing eveyone was gunning for him & thats why it took so long? I regularly place in the top 100 of most 2400-2700 FR's. I won $2 on my 6th try. There are truly may donkeys playing, but with patience & well timed aggression you'll make $.

Default you should play what you feel comfortable with

    hi

I agree you should play what your comfortable with

but my point was more that for the amount of hours involved in playing freerolls -
(to win money - not just to gain experience / play for enjoyment)

is a massive investment of time for the return - IMHO the players who are regularly finishing in the money playing freerolls could be making alot more for even a very modest deposit like $50

I appreciate that alot of players would have been gunning for Chris but that was probably something he was more than capable of taking advantage of

    0-$6.50 over 7 months v $6.50 - $10k over 9 months

seems like a pretty good reason to save 7months and jump in and deposit even the minimum and play it very solidly

but thats only my view - Are freerolls worth playing ?

and I figured the article might make a nice talking point for the forum ;-)

    cheers scrawnybob

    Default Worth It!

I only have started playing poker a few months ago and started on Full Tilt. I have become better and better but have not won any freeroll cash prizes. I think they can be a good training tool in terms of playing your cards rightly and to better one's patience on the tables.
