unless you can see the flop dont bet or raise or even call ridiculous hands because chances are you are gonna lose and its just not worth the trouble.. even if someone goes all in with 22 lol they have better chances of catching a 2 getting a stragiht or just beating you with that pair then you have of catching

Ace,king is a great starting hand, but I think to many people think it's the all-in hand. If you can limp in and catch an ace or a king then it's most likely gonna win the hand, but don't bet your tourney on it like I see so many do and lose.

AK is a awsome starting hand if played correctly. I would almost never limp with it. This is a raising hand. Think about where you stand with AK. AA KK have you crushed. QQ-22 your a slight dog. AQ AJ A10 A-anything KQ KJ K10 you Dominate.

Now this hand is only profitable if played well, and it helps to have position. If you raise preflop, and get called. 1. you flop top par, top kicker. Your in great shape : ).2. you miss the flop. By raising preflop you showed stregnth so if its checked to you you can c-bet.

What will poket 8s do if the flop is Q 9 4, and you bet into him? how big of a pot will you win if AQ calls your preflop raise, and the flop is A44. If played right this hand puts you in control, and will be a very profitable hand for you.

Forgot to mention any straight you make will be the nut straight. Any flush you make will either be the nut flush or K high.

i hate ace king, its the anna kournikova of poker hands, looks good but never wins! im sure we have all heard that one before, lol anyway, the way i play ace king is to fold it!!! i never win that hand, a lot of people fall in love with ace king preflop and go broke, i would suggest never going all in with ace king preflop unless you are short stacked. the problem with playing ace king into an aggressive raiser is that if you miss the flop what do you do when someone pushes all in on you? you called a preflop raise, you may be pot commited, and getting great odds, and you may think the guy is even making a move on you, so you call and double someone up. its a tough hand to play, good luck with it

AK suited is a very powerfull hand, but it need to improve.

The positive side is that if you miss the flop, you have an easy fold, but if you have AA or KK, it is very difficult to fold because you don't want to admit you just have a single pair, and the average hand in NLTH is 2-pairs.

Last week, I had KK, someone raise all-in on a Kxx flop.
I guess he has AK so I call and I win.
He doesn't want to imagine I could have KK, even with our preflop-bet

Well,
A-K is good when head to head, but when there are 3 or more ppl in the pot, A-K is kinda weak.

I like AK, - according to my poker tracker make good money out of it

I would play it aggresively pre flop about 3-4 bb raise, if i get a called,
then bet again aggresively on the flop(if i connect or don't connect) if i get reraise and haven't connectected a definite fold, if i get reraised and have connected its a difficult decision i would probably call then hope the hand slows down, if not then i may have to let it go.
If i get called and haven't connected its likely the hand will be slowed right down so i still have a chance to connect on the turn and river. If i get called when i have connected i continue to bet agg and hope they have a weaker ace.

I would defo not be scared of playing it against a loose aggresive calling staion types ,as i think those guys like any ace hand so if you connect with your ace your most likely to crush them.
If they reraise me back on the flop by a stupid amount i may put them all in.

Of course if i call a raise pre flop im a little more cautious.
