anytime you have a monster hand and get beat really, could be from bad call suck outs or just the luck of the cash card/river. if you flop a straight and go all in and get called by someone with one pair, but suited cards and hits runner runner for a flush. there are numerous ways to suffer a bad beat, but you usually have to have a good hand and have someone draw out on you.
