new to online

hi im fairly new to online poker. Usually i play with buddies from work but i wanted to get in some online play. What tips are there for switching from live to online?

This site has a lot of tips and ppl willing to help you, perhaps you should look into the first post in the Beginners Post and you will see that there is lots of feedback about different sites. For a beginner I will suggest a site like ActionPoker.com. My husband has just made such transition since most of his poker buddies were assigned to a different location and he's got the Poker bug...so go into a site that is not so threatening and make yourself confortable...ActionPoker.com has light action and the players are not so great so you can profit on them and make your deposit go further since their signup bonus is pretty good....Just MHO....WELCOME! to online poker.

slow and easy. there is a difference between live and online. no reads, being anonymous, leads to being more aggressive or just being a $%^*&^%#.lol.
Take your time and the basics are the same but play is a little different.
