Sometimes you can get away with playing Q7 or Q8 or Q4 but most times I don't. I do like to play most Ax hands but I try to stay with A10 through AK. As for pocket pairs, I don't particularly like small pocket pairs. They can really get you in trouble. I do like suited connectors they have helped me in several ways. I guess you need to make adjustments as the tourney or cash games go on. Hopefully that helps.
That would depend upon where you are in the tournament. if it is early in the tourney I would play it slow. see if anyone liked the flop too. If they raise like 2-3 times the pot. i would go all in and see if you can trap them. If it is late in the tournament and you have a fairly good chip stack, I would push a little harder if there are multiple people in the hand.
I don't play hands. I play the table. If everyone is folding, I'll raise with anything. If everyone is raising and calling, I'll fold anything, except for AA, KK, QQ, each of which I will go all in with immediately. It depends the blinds, the stacks, the table's style, your table image, etc.
