PKR has the best 3d software, in my opinion. However, they don't allow US players to partake in cash games/ freerolls. Also, it takes half an hour to download! It's like Tony Hawk meets Poker, with lots of customizations, and preset chat to vocalize. "Loser", Bring it on", and slashing at the dealer with your cards are some neat ones. You can also cluck like a chicken, which is pretty addictive.
Bodog is nice, and has alot of private tourneys. It's fun to be part of a group, and makes for much better play as you all know. The playchip tables are just silly, though. Don't bother trying to protect a hand! You will get ratted on quite frequently.
Wednesday nights, Doylesroom has bounty tourneys. All players get one free bounty entry, and can play Doyle, and the rest of the team weekly. They also add last week's winner as part of the bounty chase- pretty exciting! All other tourneys require at least one raked hand in the past 24 hours/ or a buy in. Enjoy. Fish
I do lke Carbon, Nord, Spin, et al, but boy, I'm being Merged to death! So many skins, & when you play mostly private games, you constantly have to choose which 1 to play , because there is always a conflict, since you can only have 1 open @ a time
For a nice change of pace I have started playing at a new site, NastyDuck on the B2B network. They have the advantage of many shared network games & players, plus their own unique games, many gaurantedd & $ added. A really fun 1 is the Bubble & Bounty, where it pays to lose. It is a 2EURO buyin with 25Euro gtd. Plus, there is a 15E bounty, & 10E for the bubble. If the bounty person wins the game, he gives his 15euro bounty to the person that went out 1st! This happened in the 1st game It is every Wednesday @ 2:00 est, Every Saturday @ 2:00est there is a freeroll where the top 3 can win a seat to this event. Very cool. Check it out @ nastyduckpoker.com
If your looking to improve your tounery skill try playing sitngo tounery. it will improve your alot. it's like playing final table and you have to play harder and make better calls.
then you would in multi table tounerys
In my opinion Everest poker is the best for begginers. You can make your bankroll from 0 by playing Shasta tournaments with 0$ buy-in and then go to higher level.
If you have a casino in your area then live games are the best place to hone your chops and nerves. If you got a casino with a poker room check em out and see about getting into there daily tournaments.
