Default Pairs

How would you play medium to small pairs pre-flop and when you hit a set after the flop? How would you bet them because I've noticed if I try to milk them people start making their hands especially when I get trips.

Urmm It Depends. (HOLDEM ONLY) ( Omaha Hi I take a diffrent view on them)

ON:-
how long the tournaments been running

how many chips YOU have

How many chips every other player has.

Your posistion when you get them.

Whats on the flop.

playing small pairs, IMHO is asking for troubble, If you give some one pot odds to call with a drawing hand v your set or trips I find they will take it, then its a coin flip.

Personal I dont play anything under 99, unless its on the TOP table, Then I may get creative with 88,77,66, then>..........55,44,33,22 I dump them if I am not in my blinds and I can peel a flop with out putting more money in bar smooth calling the
SB.

Then If I hit, I come out Strong with an OVER BET, and try and take down the pot there and then! ( 2 ways to win)

Playing small pairs before the flop can be tricky. Once hitting a set postflop, try to get as much value out of the hand as possible. Try not to play too casually though, because your set may not be the best or you could be against the nut draw from one of your opponents. Fire out a decent enough bet to get action of if there's no threat, use the check raise possibly.

it's funny how you never realize how often a hand hits till u find urself watching the table for that specific hand....like the last van i bought real pretty kinda grrenish grey with tons of metal flake in the paint so i buy it thinkin to myself "i love this color i haven't seen another one this color" within the next couple weeks i saw 3 or 4 vans same color as mine...not quite the same van since i bought the luxury model it had different rims and stuff....but they were that same damn color....lol
