poker bonuses

I've only been playing free rolls for a week or so now. At both full tilt and poker stars where I play, they are also going on about deposit bonuses. I see the same thing on sites like this as well...ie...."make your first deposit thru us and you'll get an XX bonus" but in alot of cases they seem to be the same type bonus the site itself offers.

Is there any difference? Or is it just that sites like this might get a referral fee or something?

I'll still probably play free rolls for awhile yet. I've had some moderate success but the donkeys that play them are a little irritating for sure. But I'd like to know what my options are so I can capitalize the most on any deposit I might make in the future.

Poker sites just want players depositing into their sites. They are no different than the initial deposit bonuses all sites offer. The more cash players on site means more rake they can gain, which leads to more money in their pockets. I would only deposit on a site that has been established for awhile and be learly of any new sites that do not have a great rating.

Keep looking for them free rolls that you can win the real cash with, I won my first little bit at pokerstars, and hope to keep doing it,lol

To get your bonus at pokerstars if you make a $25.00 deposit you have to aquire 250 fpps in order to obtain your bonus, thats playing in the money games, in which if you play at the $1.20 and $2.20 tables atleast, some give you more points for how close to the top place you finish in too,

Read the fine print of the offer. Alot of sites only let you get the bonus after you have raked a certain amount of hands. If you are just a tourney player you find it hard if not impossible to achieve the rake you need to acquire the bonus. Make sure the goal win be attainable for you.

Some sites will say they can match a ridiculous amount of your deposit. But in actuality it would take much longer than you would believe to be able to earn that bonus. Just read the small stuff.

As far as 'sites like this' making similar offers, in fact sites like this bring in traffic to the poker sites, and sometimes if they are bringing in a lot of traffic, the sites reward them with bigger and better deals. Sometimes the bonus loot is easier to get in the form of less raked hands or playing points required. Sometimes the % of the bonus is higher. Other times the max bonus is higher which does not help casual players much, because being able to get a bonus on a deposit up to $650 is worthless if you are only going to deposit $100.

that isnt correct - sites like 4kingpoker DO offer better than direct bonuses for signing up via our site ... you must use our link first & download via our links etc (do not click other sites beforehand as this means you dont get track to us or get our bonus)

but we very definately work hard to negociate better deals where we can for our members & visitors ... most of the time this dramatically reduces our commission (for your benefit) ... eg. if we offer rakeback then we have to fund part of it by getting virtually no commission in order for the poker room to put in the balance of the deal

BTW absolutely ALL poker content sites / forums or anything else of any use to poker players on the internet ARE run as businesses ... and dont let anyone tell you otherwise

poker businesses and sites are NOT charities ... 4kingpoker are open about getting commissions (paid by the room from their profit NOT by you the player) - after all
running poker sites (not just 4kingpoker) is now a more than full time job for me (and I need to pay the bills)

If you signup up via our links to poker rooms you will always get at least the standard deal (some only allow us to do the same bonus offer) and in alot of cases you will get a better than standard offer and in many cases a better than other affiliate sites offer - so it is worth it to you to signup via our links

ps. we get nothing for freeroll / non depositing players BUT you must signup via our links when you first start out (even for freerolls / play money) to be tracked to us - IF players then deposit later on it's then that the poker room would pay us a commission - so even if you only plan to freeroll at sites please signup via our links in the first instance

Those are some very nice bonuses that you listed ScrawnyBob. The reason that he is able to offer better bonuses than coming direct from the poker site, is because of all of the hard work that he is doing to get a large group of players together to join the sites and play.
