pokerstars repeat´s cards

it happen too many times that cards repeats in my hand. i don´t think it´s normal. can someone explain if it´s my head or if it´s normal in online poker.thanks

Online Poker sites use RGN’s (Random Number Generators) to shuffle the cards, so to speak. It is simply a randomised number cruncher.

As I understand it most of the major sites use the same software for there RGN’s.

It does happen that similar cards may appear to follow over a few hands, the same way that it can happen in live games and tournaments. Is it possible that it is noticed more in online play because we play a lot more hands than we would play in live games?

That happens to me once in a great while. Makes you feel funny when it happens. What's bad is when you don't win on either of those hands.

That has happened to me also. I thought that it was really strange and wondered about it. I thought it was just because I was in the free tourneys.

just to say Ive had same cards or pairs following on hands several times at several sites

or say 77 / xx / 77

equally Ive sat in a home game and seen the cards shuffled everytime and we've had 4 full houses in the space of 10 hands ... that's pretty wierd too but clearly not online or rng issue

To be honest I don't know ayway we would know if there was something going on. That being said I think Pokerstars is one of the best sites out there. Its a trust issue.What other choice do we have..... not playing....
