Question about bodog

Hello all. I live in the U.S., and I want to put some money on bodog. They accept CC's, but many accept visa, but when you try to use one (prepaid, or other), the CC company turns it down, because it is online gambling. Full tilt used to work for CC's, but no other site does. My question: if I go buy a prepaid card (visa, mastercard?), will it just be a waste of time, and it will not go through? I bought a prepaid card for absolute before, and the stupid card issue company just denied it over and over (it's my stupid money, and prepaid card, but they won't let you use it for that, friggin stupid). Hopefully someone has an answer for me, if not, I will have to call bodog I suppose. Thanx in advance. Peace.

I haven't tried recently, but last time (about 5-6 months ago), prepaid cards stopped working on all the sites I tried. Even ones that worked before. Bodog always worked before, as they would put it through as some other purchase (sports shoes one time) but not anymore. I just gave up myself, try to cash in freerolls and go from there. Like to here if anyone has found one that works. I've heard that using your checking account works (echecks?) but never tried it.

As i'm from europe i can probably transfer some cash to bodog 4 u if u have another site that i use so u can repay me ....I use most so should be np .... pm me and if I can help i will.

I figured it out. Netspend cards are available near me, and the deposit went through. Thank you for the offer, judge. I am playing now. Netspend works on bodog, anyone who needs to know, here you go. Peace.

Why is that? I w/d from bo a while ago, just requested a check and got it no problem. Have they changed their w/d rules?

WOW, I'd be quite surprised by this because Bodog doesn't have player-to-player transfers on their site. It is one of the big reasons why I've never deposited on Bodog (& why I don't have any $'s on there right now).

OP, sounds like you found something that worked for ya.. Cool.
Myself, I'm able to use the Mastercard Giftcards on most sites & Visa on others (but it's different for me as I reside in Canada). It's the banking institutions that make it so that your cards aren't able to work on online gaming sites. One way I worked around this in the past on a site where my card was blocked (Doyles, a couple of years ago) was to deposit in an uneven amount (at that time they'd block 'even' amount purchases online but not if it was uneven... Doyles cust. support helped me out with this advice). I'd tried a couple of times to deposit $50 & it didn't work. I then tried $51.26 & it worked fine.
