I have played on Bodog for quite a while. Recently I have been reading a lot about problems with their payouts. They were giving out debit cards for a while but that has recently been stoppped. They are having financial difficulties. The United States attornies have seized millions of dollars in US banks and Canada has given them a difficult time also. If you play there often you might have noticed that the freerolls are almost non existent. The software is simple and straightforward. The site is easy to navigate. The players are friendly and compared to other sites not very good. Their beginner 1 table tournaments payout 5 places out of ten instead of the standard 3 places. The loyalty points program is fair, I have had no problem earning enough points to receive my reload bonuses.
Unfortunately I am leary of making any further deposits due to their financial difficulties in the US. One of the forums I belong to a poster listed a link to a Forbes Magazine article about the seizure of bank accounts. If I can find it again I will post a link to the article.
In the mean time I will keep my play on Bodog limited. Poker Stars will be my main site while Bodog is in the mending process. I hope they get things straightened out becuase I do believe it is one of the better sites.
