Bodog rejection....

Downloaded Bodog, filled out the registration and Bodog rejected me because I was Canadian. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Not a big deal. I already removed it from my computer.

Calvin Ayre the Canadian owner of Bodog has sold off all his interests in it to the Indian gaming commission. It appears however they are under some pressure from the Canadian government to not allow Canadians and eventually ban the US as well. Obviously pressure from the texas pipsqueak, as I expected the indians gave them the finger.

Ye it could be so that some country's are banned from sites , even allot of the us is banned to play online at many online gambling sites, and the fact that you need to be 21 in order to gamble , they shut it down complete to allot of players all over the world . The wsope in 2007 winner , annet the girl that won her bracelet at the age of 18 ! she aint happy, ( why ) ? now she must wait till 2010 to play in the wsop again or in any live tour .

So ye it's frustating .

And for the record ,
But no it's true, they are trying to close down online gambling everywhere , but i dont think this will happen any day soon , since allot of players make there living like this .

And after downloading all the dutch poker systems , i found out they download the exact same files, same size , same characters , same dealers , same dealing system , so haha if you beat 1 off those systems you beat all of them .

bodog is closed to Canadians and has been since the start

bodog is open to US players and its thought this is very unlikely to change

following the stepping down of Calvin Ayre it is a possibility that Bodog could open up to Canadian players ... we'll have to wait and see

this is just hearsay from a friend of mine. but he is a retired american living in mexico. he tried to get bodog there and they told him it was very suspicious for him to try to open an account with them. he said they asked for faxed proof of his ID and rent receipts before they would open an account. go figure

I've read the same in a newsletter somewhere regarding Canadians, apparently it said they may be allowed to play sometime in the summer.

Well think about what will happen to the economy when that happens ?
100 milion canadians coming online to play ??? imagine the $$$ on the sites going up by 100 % . so if they made 200 $ milion dollar a month they would probally make a 500 $ milion then ! , + i dont think this is good for the canadian economy , soon you'll see the market exploding and then ....


My thought's , go to a site where you can play at , i mean it isnt that bodog is that good of a site anywayz , i do recommend it , it aint bad but hey , it doesnt have a bumper sticker on the side saying :you need to play here ...
