I always mention that do not like Cake network software, Merge have wild players but for me cake software is more wild, but this reminds me the UB software issue from some time back.

If you do not see the error AQ supossed to win with A high flush and money go to the other.

Default cake have handled it well though

    hi

I dont know too much but afaiks cake have put their hands up and flagged the problem straight away - no hiding, no flimflam, no coverups

this is a ONE hand glitch BTW

wasnt quite the same with UB Helmuth 1 hand glitch hand from memory

that IMHO says alot about cake - in a good way

Quote from Cake Cardroom boss ...

    Hi folks -
Unfortunately, at the moment, this appears to be real. What's bizarre is how it happened this one time out of the tens of millions of hands we've dealt. Needless to say, our software people have dropped everything else to track this down. I'll update you as soon as we understand what happened.

    Best regards,
    Lee Jones

    Cake Poker Cardroom Manager

from what I hear cake are also offering $500 for anyone who can find any other HH with an issue like this

that is SO much better than shambles at UB over the Helmuth hand - sounds like a similar 1/99,000,000 glitch but handled so much better

    cheers scrawnybob

The official explanation from Cake is as follows

During the hand in question, there was a player who had missed the blinds and been asked to post a dead blind in the cutoff. He didn’t, but somehow there was a perfectly timed lag between the client and the server that caused him to have a “Fold” button presented (though he may or may not have seen it). Probably unknowingly, he clicked a non-existent “Fold” button, which went through to the server. The server has code built in to protect it from extraneous messages such as this (including malicious intent from hacked clients). But it turned out that it didn’t have that protection from a dead blind-posting player if the message was something that shouldn’t have been coming in anyway (e.g. a “Fold” from somebody who shouldn’t be allowed to fold in the first place).
The result of all this was for the system to believe that it had a side-pot between the sitting-out player and the small blind (the guy with the kings). It evaluated that pot, awarded that pot to the small blind, and then had no more pots to award, so it ended the hand.
They compensated the people in the hand as follows

$500 was sent to the player who should have won the hand but didn’t, $250 to the poster at 2+2 who brought the problem to light, and $250 to the other players dealt into the hand. Cake Poker would probably be out a lot more money if this happened at a higher-limit table.

They handled very well, in that side i do not have any complaint for cake and Doyles, support at least for me as been very good.

Still think the card generator is in some way crappy, but hopely this is just a one time glitch, we see.

i've seen a different kind of glitch, either on playersonly or doyles, I can't remember, but cake network anyway. I was playing in a limit holdem Freeroll. A guy did this at least 5 or 6 times. After the flop, he would bet $.01 less than minimum, and my only choice, being a limit game, was to call or raise, and the amount in the raise was to make the bet the min. bet, in other words a $.01 raise. I never play limit so I didn't really know what was going on and noone else said anything, and it was a freeroll. I haven't seen it since, and I don't know how you guys save and show hands and tourney results anyway.
