Ok got my conspiracy meter going,

What is everyones take on the LOTTERY, Legit or fixed

First in my state they stop selling tickets an hour before numbers are drawn, so they are well aware of what numbers are picked before they give us the numbers

Me and the wife are watching a live drawing with the ping pong balls popping up, and 2nd number that came up BOTH ME AND MY WIFE said its a 3 but the announcers say 2nd number 8 and then the spin the ball and its a 8 but it was pretty clear on HI DEF that it was a 3 until they spinned the ball around and its an 8. Hyroglyphics,

I just dont like the hour leeway time they have to get an idea of combos havent been picked so just throwing this out there and looking for opinions

We have lotteries every Wednesday and Saturday in canada.They always close the buying of tickets an hr or so before the draws.Thats normal.Why change the numbers so no-one wins ? It just makes the next draw bigger and more they have to pay out.
But this happened in Canada.Many people just go to the corner store and ask the attendant to check there numbers for them in the machine.If it,s just 3 numbers and you win just a free ticket or win the Big grand prize the machine just goes beep beep beep beep.So the corner store owner(happened to be Asian/Vietnamese) told this old man he had just won a free ticket.But he really won 2.3 million grand prize so the store owner kept the winning ticket and had his wife,s sister go to Toronto,s Lotto Corporation to claim the prize.Anyway somehow they were caught and the old man received his rightful winnings.They found the number of store owners who were winning prizes was higher than an expected average so there were more investigations. !!
But why people don,t check there own numbers online or from the newspaper I don,t understand.Unless it was a ticket that they forgot to check for weeks and it was no longer in the paper.That could be the case in many instances.

There is no need to fix lottery, its set up to only pay half the take, rest goes to state. For example, 3 digit nightly number, odds of winning are 1 in 1000 (straight) and it pays 500 to 1. Every state (at most of em) has no problem with rippin people off in these lotteries, but the gov't doesn't want us playing a skill game (poker) online for money, or play chance games which pay out just under the actual odds.

There are no Gambling Taxes in Canada on Lottery or gambling winnings. Your USA Greedy Government simply wants its pound of flesh.They want to get some percentage of this Billion dollar industry they feel is taking tax dollars away from their coffers.Vegas is down about 20% right now with economy and so many rooms empty ,,its a good time to go..Sorry off topic.Anyways the US Government can,t figure out a way to regulate online gaming so they don,t know how to get their greedy fingers in it so they just ban it in individual states and Jail Poker Site Owners who stupidly visit the almight USA waters to try to stop or put a dent into it.

Well here is my 2 cents. The lotto is legit. Of course lets not forget the odds of winning the mega millions in the US is around 1:175,000,000. Yes that's right. Jackpot draw is one chance in one-hundred seventy-five MILLION. There are 175,000,000 different combinations of numbers. So if you won, you are a lucky m***** F*****. My wife has been playing for years. I play once in a while. It is just nice to pay a buck or two and daydream for a bit about what I would do if I won. Peace.

yea yall are probably right, I just do not like the hour break off time. Why cant they take numbers until 2 minutes before the drawings, I mean it shouldnt matter, if the numbers are the numbers

I'm sure it's to give them some leeway in case there are problems with transmitting the numbers. Would suck to buy a winner and then find out the transmission got mucked up or had no connection and it didn't get there.

The UK has 3 different lotteries under the same company. Lotto Wednesday and Saturday,Thunderball Wednesday Friday and saturday and Euro Millions Friday.

All the tickets sales finish at 7:30PM on the day of the individual draw(s). The draw(s) can then take place as early as 8:00PM or as late as 11:00 PM depending on day of week and TV schedules.

They have just introduced a extra draw on the days when there wasn't a Lotto draw.

I play online so no chance of being cheated out of winnings

With so many draws it's easy to win small amounts , quite often I win small prizes £3 £5 and £10 but still waiting the big one.
