Default Your favourite texas hold'em books

One of the first things i invested some money in before playing real online texas holdem poker was a selection of books.
These included titles such as:

Phil Gordon's Little Green Book and the series from Dan Harrington.

Both of these authors tend towards a 'tight aggressive' style and on pratical application I saw an improvement in my play.

Nevertheless to be an allround player, I believe one must be able to adapt and adjust to all of the styles that maybe used.

Do you have any favourite titles that have added/helped with your game?

I'm especially interested if anyone knows of a good title describing the style of play used by the likes of the top players Daniel Negrano or Phil Ivey.

I look forward to your contributions.

Default Harrington books

I've not seen any books talking much about the extremely loose-agressive playing style, except for Super System (which I think is very ballyhooed, especially the NL Hold'em part.)

The best books I've read is unquestionably the Harringtons. Simply outstanding, very useful information written in a clear and easy-to-understand language, and the best of it is that it's actually exciting to read! (Compared to Sklansky which is booooring)...

Default Latest Reading

Gypsy Tea's post regarding Inflection Points etc, reminded me of this thread that I posted when I first joined 4Kingpoker.

I'm not a huge reader, and it seems our fellow players don't do much either.

I enjoyed the above titles greatly, lots of practical help, and it has cerrtianly benefited my game.

I've explored some further reading on NL Hold'em including some more general aspects of gambling and how and why we do/play the way we do.

My latest reading includes:

The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky. Paperback (ISBN: 1-880685-00-0):

This one is like chewing mud. Thick, gluppy and not very tasty though provides good general advice, so long as you can sift through it.

The Pyschology of Poker by Alan N.Schoonmaker, Ph.D (ISBN: 1-880685-25-6):

This i like, very much orientated to how and why we play, views of your opponent and the best types of strategy against particular types of opponent. Not really for the beginner but certainly worth a read if only to help in evaluating your own play.

Surely we have a few book worms here?

Anybody have any titles to add?

I like Sklansky's books on poker theory. I'm an analytical type, so the reading suits me fine.

Default Killer Poker

I havent read Sklansky's book, but I like Phil Gordons "little green book" and I also like the Killer Poker series by John Vorhaus. They tend to be geared, especially the second one, a little more toward online play.

I signed up to Poker Cardoza ,won some freeroll money, gained a few points in the cash games and then got to choose two free poker books from a list of 20 or so.
They threw in an extra two as well.
All useful bedtime reading.
