Default Absoulte Poker Pre Flop Hands

Well from my experience if you go all in with pocket Aces, Kings, or Jacks your chances of wining is high. Do not slow play these pockets.

    Default solid allin preflop hands

    hi

I would agree that you should play all high pocket pairs stong preflop - AA, KK, QQ, JJ

and particularly important with these hands is that you reduce the number of player in the hand PREFLOP to one opponent

that may require and all-in but certainly a big bet

with AA & KK I would be happy to get all my money in preflop (in most situations)

with QQ JJ (10 10) I wouldn't be so keen unless I was short stacked which would change the approach dramatically - but I would want to control the hand and reduce opponents calling range with a very substancial preflop bet

assuming you've got all your money in with AA or KK preflop then the decision is already made but with QQ JJ etc then you really need to be prepared to reconsider you moves based on the flop

if the flop comes Ace or King then you have to consider your QQ or JJ is no longer good as alot of players will call or make all-in moves with AK or A- K-

    hope thats a help

    cheers scrawnybob

I agree... you never want to slowplay pocket pairs. There is extreme danger of bb and sb getting in cheap and catching a huge hand. Defintley not worth the headache!!

depepends from how long torunament begin.if tournament is on final table absolutly you go allin preflop...but if is in a period like blinds 200/400 i always go with a minimum raise to catch some players and after flop i go all...

i dont know, i try to slow play aces agaist some ppl and it works, but then again i have slowed play my way into a low straight or two pair and that sucks more, but what really sucks to me is when u play kk strong preflop and get a caller and ace hits flop and the other one bets first, my heart always drops and usually fold, unless i have played agaist him before and they are know for bluffing, but if i tag someone with they play ace rag and ace hits, to dangours to keep losing money

now I can certainly agree with Rll here. In an open game, I am less likely to slow play big pairs, but I have on occasion just called the big raise from someone else. Its usually, but certainly not always, a very rewarding experience to have some with big slick or ace queen, jack, betting the heck out of a flop, thats small, or thats missed them completely, and just calling there c bet on the flop with my aces. Its stung me too, but it still is an option that I explore quite often. the most imprtant thing about big pockets, is not to get married to em, if you play them big, and the flop is cards you have your opponent on, its not above me to muck them.
