Is this an effort to make people forget the scandal by merging the two sites and changing the name.?? AP is AP & UB is UB. They will never be anything more than two troubled sites trying to make what? One big troubled site? I for one don't think this will help either one. This sounds like there trying to compete with Pstars, FTP. Since as separate sites never impressed me. Get Cereus. Will never happen. Good luck to them.

I think you are exactly right on this on Bob. Good to know you are looking out for us. I am sure that there are no super accounts playing at the stakes that I play but I still do not want to be involved in a poker site that has bad security.

dont get me wrong - as I wrote in the blog - the idea of cereus could be good

I'm not one of the absolute / UB haters but obviously if sites have issues I cant turn a blind eye and pretend there havent been issues ... they will get resolved no doubt ...

but the issue here is that the site(s) involved left to their own devices only put their hands up as and when the KGC gaming commission and players kept finding more problems ...

yes they are super user accounts etc - so effected players are only higher stakes and yes this happened a while ago ... so theoretically from what we are told the security has been sorted out ...

the issue here is that having got landed with a problem instead of getting it all out the way in one go and airing the dirty laundry, complying fully with the KGC instructions asap and then announcing its all been sorted ... they dealt with things as they came up rather than cleaning up the whole connected situation in one go

If they had said "we've sorted most of the problems but are looking for more therefore we cannot announce everything is sorted just yet" that would have been fine too

Really its more about the way they handled the "Crisis Management" so badly and so disrespectfully to the players ... if they had a decent PR dept they could have managed the whole thing properly

Looking at as if it were an oil company ...

It's like having an oil tanker that crashes and then pretending it's engine had a bit of a leak, then having to admit the hold has a hole in the port, then when a fisherman goes round the otherside and sees another one having to admit there is also one in the starboard etc etc

In this day and age the oil company would not have tried to get away with "engine leak" they would have said "we have an oil leak and until x we cannot confirm how much has leaked or from where or why" then they would only say "all is safe and sound" when anyone and everyone could stand on the beach with no risk of finding oil on their boots and not before

I will happily start promoting AP & UB / Cereus again when the dust has truly died down and they've had a trouble free run for a while ... there are some upsides in all this as all sites will be more careful and thorough -

but I just dont think they handled things well and just assumed they could sweep every problem under the carpet as it came up

Most players were not affected but that isnt really the point - its the principle
