Jan 15th $1000 Turbo Freeroll

Today, I realized that I had only .69 at Full Tilt and the League will be playing there every week. So, I decided to go to Full Tilt (I don't play there too often) and try some freerolls.

I opened up the site, went to the freeroll section and out popped a freeroll sign-up for a $1000 Turbo freeroll. Seeing that already over 2000 people had signed up, I hit register as fast as I could. It was then that I saw that this was an 11,000 person max freeroll! I stayed registered, even though the big freerolls tend to be too daunting for me. They take way too long for one game for me.

Well, to my surprise, I made it to the first break ahead of the pack. I was pleased, but still not optimistic. Then the next break came and I was even further ahead and so it was then that I started to play a little more seriously.

Before I knew it, I had made it to the money...top 90 placed. I was over 100,000 chips by then and lovin it. Blinds were up to around $16,000 by then, antes were $5,000 or so too! Just making it to the money in this huge, by chance freeroll was amazing to me!

Well, I ended up going out in 40th place (or 41st, can't remember exactly) and making $6 to use in the 4king league games!

So, Rounders, you can definately count me in at Full Tilt for at least 5 weeks...lol .

I play Tuesday there in a freeroll of CC and manage to cash $1.25, so now i have 2 buyins for our games.

I decided to check out Full Tilt again today and the same freeroll was there again, only this time there is a 12,000 person max! It went so fast yesterday, I'm gonna try again today.. we'll see what happens..lol

Well, ended up being late for today's tourney, blinds were already 40/80 by the time I was able to sit down. We've been having a lot of storms and icing on the wires (I'm on dial-up ) so, my connection is horrible. With such a big tournament, the software took forever..lol

I have to check out the Full Tilt site to see if I can find out about these new Gigantic tournaments. I'm sure I won't play them all the time..too many donkers ya know.. but I'm just glad I was able to make a little bit of a bankroll .

Is this a new freeroll on everyday? When I went to look for it the second day it had started already and I am not sure is it everyday at the same time?

The freeroll I entered on Thursday started at 12:02 pm est. On Friday it started at 11:44 am est and the maximum players increased from 11,000 to 12,000.

I have looked over the full tilt forum and web site a little, but have not been able to find any specific information about it. Some people at the forum are guessing that they are going to phase in larger tournament like PokerStars, but I don't know.

If I happen to come across any information, I will post it.

nice job! its a heckuva big field, but if you dont have funds on there and cant/ wont deposit, why not try it? it cant hurt.

Man congrats for your great run into the the 11000 people freeroll. Iwas in this tournament and had finish 234th. It was a good experience but it was so long, did not worth the cost. The next one I will not do it.
