Default FTP SnG's - Getting Longer?

Is it just me or the overall style of play has shifted a bit on Full Tilt Poker? I'm currently playing the $2 SnG's -- still. I've been trying to move up, but it seems the $2 games have gotten a little tougher over the past few months. More people seem to be making to "the break". (BTW when did they do away with the break on single table SNG? I don't miss it or anything, but I didn't play for a couple of weeks, and then it's gone.)

In any case. Am i just dealing with overall game variance, or has anyone else experienced the games getting longer on FTP?

    I'll be honest with you:

Those $2 SNG's are my bread and butter. They used to take like 70-80 hands to win and now they are takin like 120-140. It is getting kinda rediculous. I was starting to think I was the only one who noticed the length of the games goin up.....

Good to know I'm not alone at least. I guess I just have to get better then. SnG's are my favorites nowadays and the Full Tilt interface is still the best for me, so I'll just tough it up and roll with the scene there.

I too like the Full Tilt interface better than any of the other ones out there. Here's a suggestion, if youre ITM as much as it seems you are based on your stats (48%) overall I would suggest takin a crack at a few of the $5.50 SNG's because I think ur gonna be just fine over at that level.

Also looking at ur avatar here it seems youre FTP name is cogrunner. I have played with you before and I have also watched TomTheBomb play with you and youre pretty good.

The play is a lil tighter @ $5.50 but my ROI goes through the roof when I play that vs playin the $2.25 one instead.

Hit me up if you need anything at all...........

Thanks for the kind words and the encouragement! I have taken a couple of stabs at the $5 games. If you can see my stats, on SharkScope you might see that little spike in the middle -- that was a winning streak on the $5 games followed by a nasty tilt, after which I had to jump back down to $2 as per my agreement with myself. I tried again, when I worked my way back up, followed by a slide again.

Perhaps I will give it another shot -- I was hoping to get more of br cushion before moving up though.

    Something to think about.

    Thanks again!

Yeah I see it. But heres the deal according to Official Poker Rankings COGRUNNER Poker Ratings, Results, Statistics you seem to be 91/190 or 48% ITM. Thats really, really good for STT play. What kind of bankroll are you working with at the moment? I'd say if you had a bankroll over $200 to give it a shot cause that would give you like 30 or so buyins. Its not quite the cushion one would want but based on your ITM% you should be fine.

Im around 40% ITM and my ROI is really good only because of my ability to play the $5.50 SNG's as well as the $2.25 version. As a matter of fact my ROI is 44% vs 2%when I play the bigger buyin.......

Right now I'm trying to work my way up to a $200 bankroll on FTP so I can play the $5 games. I have another $40 to go, so we'll see what happens.

    Cheers
