I have been reading about it but haven't tried it yet. I was a bit concerned about how it allocated FTP if you hit the quick fold button and move on before the hand ends.

i haven't played these games yet and probably won't. i think one of the tools a good player uses while playing is breaking down his opponent and using it to his advantage. not being able to do this will in my opinion make the luck factor go up and skill factor go down.

I had 10 minutes to waste this morning before taking the kids to school so I gave Rush a try

What a blast, I don't think I could play it for long, 10 minutes was enough. In that 10 mins I played 49 hands and won $3

I tried it and found it's a fast way to lose your money. You can't get to know the players because each hand is at a different table. It seemed like every hand I had to pay the blind. Looks like a bingo game to me.

    Default rush poker overview

    hi

here is a brief and hasty review / overview on rush poker and basic strategy

    rush poker strategy

I'm going to post some more personal thoughts next week in my blog

I've played it for a bit but want to check my first impressions are not too biased and give the madness a chance to grow on me ;-)

bingo I think maybe on the money - but also need to figure if all of the edge is lost or if a different approach might be worth the grind

IMHO rush poker is going to be an action junkies game of limited appeal to more skill focussed players - afaiks its a bit of a leveling game where your reduced to starting hand selection and then a crap shoot after that ... you can just fold endless hands pretty much so anything getting played logically should be strong

there is no point in making any other judgements on the players - your playing your own cards against rough accepted odds of this and that ...

IMHO either you will up up against an action junkie OR a rediculously tight ABC player playing only very strong hands ... anyway these thoughts should all be more for the blog next week ;-)

    cheers scrawnybob

if you needed a way to get more addicted to poker, this is it.

it does prevent you from doing anything other than playing poker, though.

down $60. fun, but i hate it.

I tried the Full Tilt Rush Poker and quickly was up $10.00 (Flopped two pair and beat pocket aces). I'm not much of a cash game player so I just as quickly got out. I do see where you could get caught up and quickly lose your money.

After reading this thread I see that rush poker isn't as quick as I thought before. According to the thread it is possible to play about 500 hands in an hour. But it is not a great amount of hands. My record in usual poker is 14 tables x 70 hands(not turbo)= 980 hands. Good number of hands while clearing bonuses.
By the way: is it possible to play more tables in rush poker? These days I have no time for poker and other hobbies so I can't check it.
