    Default Rush poker on Fulltilt

Rush poker on Fulltilt... what a rush!
Seriously though, is this like the most addictive new poker format ever? I've already read a bunch of takes on strategy for rush tables with all sorts of views & opinions. Not sure what mine are yet. I do know it is one very easy way to pick up FTP's so if anyone was needing to clean a sign up bonus this would be a super easy way to do it.
At 10NL playing two tables I picked up over 100FTP's in an hour. This will change things with IRONMAN status for alot of players and am guessing you'll be seeing far more players reaching ironman status in the coming months.
rush poker.... kinda weird because you get very little in the way of player reads, unless by fluke you've actually been in a hand with the guy before & actually have notes on them.
Interested to hear how others are doing on this.
    GL!

I don't see the appeal. I doubt I'll ever try it.

    Here's the appeal.....
I just played another session of 10NL, multi-tabling it, fullring.
    In 5 mins. I was up 6buyins!!
    In 20mins. I had collected 70 more FTP's.

A person could get IRONMAN status playing 10NL on rushpoker. That's insane. Wish I was trying to clear a bonus.

Looking on other forums, guys there were comparing the amount of FTPs they were getting to 12-tabling 100NL. THey estimated that they could get 200FTPs+ in ony 30mins. per day, 4-tabling 100NL tables. That's pretty insane. I've never pursued IRONMAN status (200ftp per day for 25 days of the month, & thereby gaining entry to the $30K freeroll) but my neighbour does every single month. He usually has to 4-table at $0.50/$1.00 PL Omaha H/L for at least 2hrs. per day to do this. Rush Poker makes this pretty easy by comparison.

In it's early stages you're seeing all kinds of stuff on those tables - - some typically higher stakes players playing at 25 & 10NL just to check it out (ie. my AK big EP raise got flatted by 63o & 96s,... flop comes 963 I check/fold.. another guy bets pot.. the 63 raises big & the 96 shoves.. 63 calls.. crazy huge pot for 10NL, lol.,... also alot of new players on those tables, and TONS of them way overplaying hands. You can basically sit there and play AA KK QQ AK, and set mine with all pairs in position and get paid off big most of the time when you hit your set (I wish I knew how to post screenshots, lol).

Sure it's a donkfest.... but also highly addictive. I think I'm heading back for a bit more now, lol.

I don't really get the appeal of Iron man status either. For amusement whenever I see that Iron man chip I look the player up. Almost always a losing player. That Iron man chip is just an indication that someone has paid massive amounts of rake. I prefer to pay as little rake as possible while still making a profit.

It's a moot point for me anyway. I discovered long ago that MTTs are way more profitable for me than cash tables. And I doubt they will ever do this in an MTT.

Playing a $30K freeroll where there's usually only around 300+ entrants with top 90 getting paid (I think last place is ~ $40) and with a bunch of sitters....isn't too bad.

I'm betting most people lose far more chasing the FTPs than they make in that tourney. If I earn enough FTPs playing levels that I'm profitable at then this is a nice bonus. But I don't think that is true for the vast majority of Iron men.

The vast majority of players aren't profitting from playing poker period. Personally though I don't think you'd find too many players who are chasin FTP's... they're worth very little.

FWIW.... I'm finding I can easily pick up 200 FTPs in 1hr. playing 2 tables of 10NL.

If you are a serious cash game player, my advice is stay away from that crap.
I only hope the average pokerstars fish won't move to FT when they hear about this "new great invention".
If you were playing let's say 8 tables of 10NL there is no reason in the world you should start playing 2 tables of Rush. The hands/hour will be the same but your win rate will drop badly and also - the swings which are crazy.
I hate FT and will continue to hate after my rush poker experience.

I logged on to play a forum game and this page popped up to tell me about this RUSH poker. Well i said later (didn,t read it) because I was only minutes from my tournament.Bob who wrote that RUSH ARTICLE link ?? Was it Full Tilt? I kind of doubt it because it wasn,t very flattereing or selling it too strong. I rarely play Full Tilt so I don,t even know what use FTP,s are worth. How do the Blinds work if jumping every hand from one table to another.I have to read more on this....
