The obvious HUGE difference is (in my opinion) >> expecting a higher winrate playing 'read-less' poker is ridiculous. Aren't we typically winning on cash tables by learning to exploit our opponent's tendancies,.... using gathered information for future hands we play vs. them?
Now in spite of saying this (lol), I have found all kinds of weird stuff on Rush poker tables and have put in a few thousand hands on them (< doesn't take long, lol),... maybe ~10,000 hands (it's addictive.. what can I say, lol).
You'll run into all types on those tables, from the nittiest of nits to the constantly bluffing overaggroballs.... not knowing which is which (read-less in most cases) can make it like playing a lottery. I actuallly still take notes on the Rush tables and alot of my profit has come as a result (so what does that tell me?....um.. maybe why they're not a great idea in the first place, lol).
I've had mixed results in RUSH Poker - - last night I lost a couple of buyins (couldn't hit a set if my life depended on it, missed monster draws.. ie. straightflush draw, nut-flush draws, etc.) BUT the night before (yah.. I've played them again recently after swearing off of Rush pokerd... I need a meeting!! lol) I won 6buyins in around 20mins.
Most profitable on Rush tables I find is set-mining.... when I'm able to call EP raises (& preferably a call or two as well) with any pp in LP (as long as stacks are deep enough to give me implied odds). I can't count how many times I've been able to stack off opponents when I hit my set.... they absolutely seem to not be able to let go of TPTK or a big overpr. THis (for sure!) has been where I've seen most of my profit on the Rush poker tables (one hand yesterday I actually was able to stack two opponents at same time, winning a 320bb pot when I flopped a set w 88 in LP).
In a nutshell.... I try not to play much RUSH Poker & when I do succumb to the urge, it's with intentions of playing poker for 5 or 10mins. (when I don't have time for player reads, sng's or mtts', etc.). Oddly enough the session quite often lasts alot longer than 10mins., lol.
