Deposit Problems....Why Play?

For all you U.S. players, I have had outstanding DEPOSITS going back to November that are not coming out of my checking account. I have not won anything big, but if I did, would I get paid?

I am thinking of trying POKERTHUG.COM which allows U.S. players.

Any thoughts?????

all I can say is ... why why why ???

if you have problems with withdrawal times and deposits on bigger sites - why would an unknown skin on a hardly known network be better ?

seriously everleaf is tiny and who on earth are pokerthug

thats really not a formula for success afaiks - unknown site on small network (everleaf is not initself totally terrible but its small and
has alot of skin)

My usual deposit method has been thru quick deposit from my checking account. Nothing has been removed from my checking all the way back to November.

I find it hard to believe they credited your account and didnt take the money. I use this method also and money is always taken about 4 days later. Maybe your just not noticing it. If they don't get their money, your FT account would be frozen until you redep. and they get what they gave you. Maybe its coming out of someone elses account. As long as they are letting you play, you should be ok, but when you withdrawal, its going to go to whereever they are taking it from.

Other folks have reported the same thing. My wife keeps our checking account balanced to the penny and there has not been a credit from FT at all dating back to November. They have sent me apologies citing "3rd party" situations causing the delay in taking their money. I should just close my checking account...

IMHO this is exactly why you should stick with more established site and more established sites on networks which have been around for a while

for US players things are only going to get more tricky - that doesnt mean dont play or dont deposit it means be realistic about the problems the US gov't have created with the increasing use of the UIGEA and clamping down on processors and ways of getting funds into poker sites etc

THEY (the gov't) have made things more unreliable and created a perception on things being less safe ... the UIGEA is a disgrace but its hear now and US players wil have to get used to the problems it creats

personally I would rather my funds on known sites and known networks even if this means problems with processing are transparent or at least accounted for ...

there is much more chance of the big players being able bankroll players in the way mentioned sustainably than small sites that simply would go under. It sounds like they have had to change some of their routes in for funding

you don't want to know how complicated it is for them with a multitude of processors, sub-processors and how much of their money they will have on the line in order to safeguard players money

afaiks IF there have been seizures of money by the DOJ from the big players, they have just swallowed the loss and looked after players funds one way or another

US players have to be a bit more realistic just how expensive it will be getting for sites to cater for US market.

Ive no doubt in this case they will sort it out once its practical for them to - in the meantime I would be glad that they've rolled you on the basis your good for it.

also I would check you statements for odd transactions from odd places for odd things - it wouldnt suprise me if you havent paid for it but not seen it

I have been waiting over 3 months on a withdrawal from full tilt! They keep telling it is a problem with their third party processor. Very frustrating.

OK, I didn't think any of this made sense, but now I have the opposite problem of Michael. I made a couple dep. at the end of last year, the money came out of my account, and now they are taking it out again. Now I gotta go back and go over my records and make sure, but I'm pretty positive it already came out and I got 2 emails saying 2 dep. were being processes from last year, one went through again already, another is scheduled to go through today. Same nonsense was given for excuse, third party processor, causing delay. Not too happy with ft right now.


Edit: Ok, I've gone over my records thoroughly, and damit, they are right, there was 2 deposits that never went through, guess I'll have to apologize for the nasty email I sent them.
