Full Tilt shut down this morning. Now what happens to the 4Kings games?

The close down is due to the Alderney Gambling Control Commission suspending FT gaming licence.

There has been a lot of rumoured action around FT this last week or so. Phil Ivey is alleged to have had a meeting with them in Ireland and they also have been rumoured to be holding talks with Jack Binion the founder of WSOP.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks.

I've been part way through writing blog post on the rumoured / confirmed meeting between Phil Ivey and Full Tilt in Ireland which included Jack Binion who was the potential investor in FT to get things back on track

that was all looking pretty positive

afaiks at the moment it looks like the Alderney Gambling Control Commission have acted on their rulings at a pretty inopportune moment ...

In a statement this morning, the AGCC said:

“The decision to suspend these licenses follows a special investigation prompted by the indictments unsealed by US Attorney General’s Office in the Southern District of New York on 15th April 2011, during which grounds were found to indicate that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to Alderney legislation. The nature of the findings necessitated the taking of immediate action in the public interest.”

Once I know more I will update the forum - at the moment if all gaming / withdrawals / deposits from all players - basically the site as a whole is suspended - then clearly then clearly the remaining 4KSOP games arent going to happen :-(

that may well be the least of our worries

trying to be postive it may be a technicality move before the white knights ride in - or it might just be curtains - at this point I dont know

And at this point I am with everyone else reeling from this - yes we knew there were problems but over the last few days things looked like they might be getting ironed out

Was reading about this.

I feel so lucky to follow my instinct and to move out from there when have the chance. At this time could be so angry and sad that my $ will be lock there like when BF if was still playing there.

It really sucks that now is for the rest of the world, best wishes for players that still play/have $ there, hope you guys can have your money back at some point, but not looking good right now.

They've suspended their blog, forum (everything else works) and under System status it says that the system is under maintenance.
That's no way to treat customers.

The only thing "unsealed", are the big bucks floating around without control.
what else can it be? someone just somehow decided to put an end to it, until the sites find a way of paying their own rake (lol) to the governments.

in the meantime, they'll come up with even smarter and bigger phrases, which no one is gonna understand! such as the crap quoted.

hi all

just to update you - my internet after being unreliable for 2 months has now been down fully for a day and a half

so I am posting from a net cafe - I will have a full updated blog post on the full tilt situation later today

but as I have consistently said I dont think this is the end of Full Tilt - alot of commentators have made a drama out of it for more reasons than the interest of players
