    Smile wanted to post this

    Hi all

i want to tell you a secret of mine: i bought my comuter especially for poker and besides the basic computer stuff i dont have anything on it, besides my pokerooms

i discovered that different sites are a different mood/different day, and sometimes i want to play here or i dont want to play there. that prevents me from say: get bored or worse- get on tilt.

I'm currently at a "journey" between sites (following scrawnybob at the min deposit chllenge?) along with my daily 1.10 at 17:45 at carbon (finished 3rd yesterday ) and after i managed to hit the 70$ line at pkr, i decided to move to FTP and instantly registered to the 45 ppl Sng and you know what?? - im proud to announce we have a new member named "TimoJ".....

TimoJ was sitting next to me and i probably wouldnt even notice him, unless at some stage (when i was shortstacked at the table) this fella fired out in the chatbox: "wish u hit the jacks huh you chicken" or something like that and said some other sudden shocking material.
OK, so i got some nice feedbacks over the tables like **** you jacks_off or "give me the password jacks_off" but this was weird. i never thought that a shortstacked chicken would be such an interest to someone.... while i wanted to answer him but never dared for that same exact reason.

    well to shorten this up....

after i managed to win 1st place and was about to leave, he suddenly wrote me as an observer and we had a nice little chat after that.

and he thought i was an "old guy"...... LOL

Hello Jacks and thanks for sharing your story. It seems you turned an awkward situation into a new Member recruitment! You are quite the diplomat. I guess WINNING the tourney must have made an impression on your new friend as well.

    Well done!!!

you know Lynda its kinda rare, but it happens to me once in a while- meeting someone decsent at the poker tables.

a much bigger difference IMHO between the people on the different sites dont you think?

i guess its related to the graphics or the blind structure. i found that the nicest people are at carbonpoker....

so the ones i really enjoyed talking with, i invite to 4kingforum to share their ideas here with us

    Default swords to ploughshares

    hi Jacks

great story and a perfect illustration of how to turn things around -

really appreciate it by the way

we have some great ambassadors for both the game and for 4kingpoker ;-)

I know from experience that while I know alot of members would like me to jump off the deep end more with new members / password sharers etc (and trust me I do) that there are also countless stories of new members that have on the face of it fitted the mould of being "just another" password hunter ... and have then gone on to become great members of the forum ...

just because they found a friendly reception and an environment where they found they had a second chance or were given a bit of time to either post up good / better posts or just not turned away with a harsh reception ... so it really does make a huge difference how we as members / more established members handle new members or those "dreaded" password hunters

while I wont give any quarter to password posters - those evil rule breakers, as they DO need to be hunted down and stopped ... It's always worth remembering for the most part people who USE passwords they come across or search out ... are NOT intending to be evil by their actions ... they just dont know better yet

the same goes for the quality posting issues ... so keep reporting the bad posts (and NOT replying to them) and keep adding good stuff to the good threads

4kingpoker does by my original intention and by the members continuing this spirit on ... aim to be friendly, helpful and importantly a useful place to post

    cheers scrawnybob

One of the reasons I decided to join this site last year was because of a few nice members of this forum. Other than that, just the usual you're a donk because you called my bluff all-in and busted me type of people who'll talk to me.
