New years resolutions?

Anybody got any good new years resolutions? I'm trying not to suck so bad at poker. I'm doomed.

im trying not playing Blackjack anymore.

All i can say is stay away from BJ.
Maybe u can win a few weeks in a Row, but u will bust ur Bankroll for sure.

Not to let jerks who think they are pos or something not to get under my skin or on my nerves when they feel the need to make comments or make fun of a hand that I have called or bet with. IT'S POKER! There are NO rules on what you can or cannot call with so, GET OVER IT AND YOURSELF! If your opinion is wanted I will ask for it! This is the first year that I have decided not to make any New Years resolution. It just seem to soon after the holidays to try and make any cause I am so stressed out from the holidays anyway. I never seem to be able to follow through with them.

hi all


guess this my 10 - a mix of poker work, poker playing & other new years resolutions

1) I will try to write at least one poker strategy article for 4kingpoker each week
(or 4 per month at least)

2) I will try to write at least 5 poker news / tournament news pieces per week for 4kingpoker & at least 25 posts per week in the forum

3) I will not buy anymore domain names (poker or other) until I have finished getting up all the ones I bought last year while having a "bright" idea - and find time to turn them into good sites too.

4) I will get the odd poker reviews finished that are unfinished or in need of updating done by the end of January

5) I will not blow sub $20 bankrolls at sites just loosing patience - I will make them a challenge to build up rather than blow off in a single frustrated hand because I'm "not playing the stakes I like on a site"

6) I will back down more on hands where I know I cannot bluff a player off rather than betting out too much on the river in frustration - especially on my decent bankrolled sites

7) While continuing to play cash games for profit I will also find time to play more MTT's for enjoyment and also play in more of the $1 buy-in games in the 4kingpoker leagues - I wont just donk off chips and signup to make up the numbers - I will play to nearly win.

8) I will finally get the house finished THIS year, new kitchen, new windows, roof insulation & the garden done

9) I will find time to get my office / poker room / scalextrics room done - so I have a decent place to work in peace, start hosting my home poker games again & setup the scalextrics for the big and the small boys to play with racing cars.

10) I will aim to do all the other things Ive probably forgotten or promised to get done last year at least by then end of this year

I hadn't actually decided to make any untill I read yours Bob.. Like you I need and 'want' a new kitchen.

My kitchen 'was' nice.. then the cooker caught fire.. we bought a range and had to remove some cupboards to fit it in.

Then we needed a new fridge.. and went for an American fridge freezer which lead to more cupboard either being moved to a new wall or removed completely.

So right now my kitchen definately needs replacing.. and 2009 is the year it's getting done .. his nibs has been 'told' it's being done lol

bob i love ur number 3....since i have seen ur other sites.. you already have enough on ur plate without buyin more b4 those are done ..not that they are bad sites....they just need alot more traffic

and also bob....i thought for sure you would have added one in there some where about not spending to much time on poker stuff that it pisses off the new wife
