Today I attended a big frilly Bridal Show with my daughter. Her wedding is in September, so the whirlwind is just beginning. Not only am I the "Momma of the Bride," my daughter also chose me to be her "Matron Momma of Honor!"![]()
I am so proud and excited all at the same time. Looking at the cakes, dresses, photos, etc. was really fun (and $$ expensive) I took some great pictures with my daughter and the bridal party at the show that will go nicely in the pre-wedding scrapbook I'm making.
Being a lot alike, the frilly fru fru stuff began to grow old on my daughter and myself after 4 hours or so. We had been through 2 fashion shows, 5 pieces of cake, 3 limos, a glass of wine (or two) and one "complimentary" manicured fingernail and then, I saw it.. a laptop! "No", I told myself, "It's just poker, have fun with the girls."
Just about that moment, my daughter turned to me and said, "Momma, I'm done, how bout you?"
So, here I am, about to play in the Carbon game after having had a special, wonderful day with my daughter.![]()
