What a pain!!!!!

I can't believe what pleasure anyone can get from writing and spreading computer viruses.

My computer caught one 3 days ago, and after numurous scans it wouldn't go away I thought I'd cleared it and I reconected to the internet and there it was again downloading like mad. The only thing for it was to format the drive and re-install windows. Just got finished with that re-loaded my backed up data and the computer crashed so badly it lost half my back up.

So I've just finished rescuing what data I could and re-installed again. Three days of misery over a stupid computer virus. Now I have to work out what I lost because of it.

Do you use IE for your browser?.

I read that IE have sooo many security issues, that's why i change to firefox last year.

Do you know were you get the virus?.

That's always a sick time.
To escape those troubles, i partioned my disks years ago, so that even if i have troubles with some viruses, i don't lost all my datas. I just need to re-install windows on the dedicated partition and leave the others the way they always been.
I used an illegal download from Partiton Magic to obtain such a result, and had to re-install windows twice since i made it and all my datas are always on my puter.

I use Google Crome most of the time Logan, it's a small light weight browser so it's doesn't use to much computing power. Firefox is getting a bit bloated like IE.

I since worked out what went wrong when I was re-installing, it was all Microsoft's fault, I'm running XP with service pack 3 because I hate Vista and MS have a problem running IE8 with XP SP3 that's what crashed the computer. It tried to do it again when I re-installed the second time so now I'm running IE7 and that has sorted the problem.

I still don't know where the virus came from, but I have improved my anti-virus program.
