Default Are you due for another mattress??? Yes or No

Sometimes we try to make do for as long as possible. My question is are you due for another mattress or is your current bed just right???

I bought a new mattress bed and memory foam pillow. I had the worst neck ache the last two days and finally gave in for hopefully a good nights rest. After I yanked the old mattress off, I found out it is a cardboard bunkbed mattress. No wonder I have been aching for nine months. I knew I felt springs, but I did not know it was a kiddie mattress. Let's see if that $200 is money well spent on a new twin mattress.
Also got the weird shaped memory foam pillow. Yesterday picked up the regular memory foam pillow but it did not cut it, so daughter traded me my new one for the new one she bought today which has the weird shaped pillow. Hoping to get some zzz's.

Seriously. !! Is this a discussion. I,m 55 and I could sleep on the floor just fine.!! Its not the matress. Its really how High your head is with regards to the bed.Do you stack 2 pillows to support your head or just one ?? It affects the blood flow to your BRAIN that your not using........ lol

OK, rgchan, when I am at my one daughters house, I sleep on the floor because the couch is uncomfortable.
I use a pillow for each side of me, because I toss and turn and I need a pillow under my stomach or chin to fall asleep, then I get uncomfortable and change sides. So instead of throwing the pillow over my head and getting off of it and transferring it over, I just leave it alone turn over and now the alternate pillow is there for my use.

And the daughter I am visiting now, I have a hard bed in my bedroom, which she cannot stand, and when I hop on her bed, it is so fluffy, I can't stand it. So we both love our own beds the best.

So our bed preferences are probably like a car buying discussion, it is personal taste.

Sassy, my daughter and I each bought memory foam pillows. She said to keep the one I like and to toss the other one in the guest bedroom. I ended up keeping the one that has different lumps to it. The one shaped like a standard pillow was uncomfortable and I did not enjoy it at all, so I heaved it into the guest room.

The memory bed, I would do like I did with my bed. I tested it at the store. It was nice and hard, and it was like that way when I used it at home, fortunately.
My daughter, though, bought a fluffy bed and when she slept on it her first couple of nights woke up with kinks in her neck. Pretty iffy.

Sounds like tking has the best mattress in the land.
