Toothache

I had my tooth out yesterday and it bloody kills ( well the hole where the tooth does I can't feel the tooth its in the bin) The dentist said to me to have root canal to try and save it as it got infected so I did. That hurt. It was still hurting a week later and getting worse so I went back and he told me the best thing was to take it out, so I agreed. When he was pulling it out( after numbing my mouth ) it cracked in 2 and I nearly choked on it. Then when he finally got the root out ( I have very long roots he said) It bled like you can't believe. ( I now know why woman moan so much when its that time of the month) I'm still and pain and regretting the decision to have anything done on it. It wasn't half as bad when he checked and I wish I hadn't bothered going but I know when its over and done with it will be better... I hope. Ok finished rambling on now

i think i've heard this all before...

OK, Listerine extra strength mouthwash at least 3 times a day...try a bit of bonjela...if that doesn't ease it after 5 days go to the dr's, not the dentist u went to, and get a prescription for some pain killers...

Recommendation: brush your teeth regularly...lol, and avoid jumping off walls in the wee hours of the morning in foreign countries with no clothes on...

Been there done that. I'm not sure about putting Listerine on an open wound though?
I've had teeth pulled in England and the U.S. and let me tell you, there's a HUGE difference.

That difference would be pain management. Here in the U.S doctors and dentists can't wait to fill you full of pills. I got an infected tooth and the doc gave me synthetic morphine. It was the happiest week of my life but I didn't get much done.
In England I had the wisdom and a couple of impacted molars done and they didn't even stitch the hole. No painkillers except for the numbing needle (I forget the name of the drug they use) and that only lasts a few hours. I bled for about a week, packed my mouth with gauze all day and at night I'd bleed all over the pillow and wake up looking like something out of a horror movie.
I went to a National Health dentist when I was a kid and she drilled a molar with no anesthetic at all. She was a b!tch and all I can say about her.
The problem with dentists in the U.S. is the cost, even with insurance it's outrageous, so I'm saving up for a trip to Mexico
