Default Cool thing happened today w work

Cool thing happened today with my work (I'm a property manager).

I had someone lined up to check out renting an apt. today (an apt. right across the hall from myself) and what do ya know... they play poker. (well.. I'd actually been told they played poker but when I heard that i figured.... "yah yah... sure they do.. they all do" (< meaning they typically play but don't know how to play). Well it turned out different than I'd expected. I just happened to be wearing a Fulltilt KO t-shirt and of course the topic of poker comes up. Turns out this guy not only knows how to play poker but he's a solid MTT player (he actually shipped the $20rebuy on Stars for close to $10k awhile ago). So the poker chat got going in a big way. Very cool. Actuallly looking forward to seeing a tenant.... this is different from the usual for me lately, lol.
Have been wanting to hook up more with some poker players who actually know what they're talking about & now will have one as my nighbour directly across the hall from me.

    Life is weird/odd at times.

I've got a half-dozen or more of the shirts & wear them often around the house &/or while working.

3 are KO tshirst for knocking out 'red pro' in an MTT.
1 is a bubble prize (part of a prize for bubbling a special tourney on Fulltilt... also got a hat & mousepad)
    another is a long-sleeved fulltilt tshirt bought w FTP's
another is a sweatshirt that was part of a prize for an online tourney
and another zippered hoody bought w FPPs (Stars)

    ... I think that's it

Surely will be nice to met someone in real life that have same poker interest with you and play similar games.

Im surely donīt know anyone in real life that play poker (aside of family).

I remember seeing someone in the street with a shirt of UB, but is rare in here, poker is still looked like a "drunkers, gamblers, gangs" type of game.

I guess I'm lucky as far as how others view poker here where I live (not really frowned upon at all).
It's a small population in the area I live in (around 7,500 people) & up until a couple of months ago I'd never really met any online players (a few but none that played MTT's). I actually have a neighbour who is now retired but used to run a cardroom & also held tournaments regularly (still holds a monthly one here in town that gets around 100 entrants in it). He plays mostly PLO & OmahaH/L so we don't talk much strategy or HandHistory discussion stuff. He also plays online, Fulltilt & Pokerstars.
A couple of mos. ago I discovered there's a guy who lives in a neighbouring town (15mins. from where I live) who's an MTT reg. online (plays $26-$250 buyins, alot of the FTOPS etc. & won a WSOP MnEv. seat on Pokerstars, in a $640 buyin). Haven't hooked up with him yet but actually had him send me a pm today (on another forum), asking me if there are any games goin' here where I live (there's actually a $1/2 that goes about twice a week but I'm not into the crowd there (alot of drug dealers, etc.)... although I do here that most of them really suck at poker & like to throw their dollars around liberally (Hmm.. maybe I should go?).
Yah, felt pretty fortunate today to hear that my new tenant is actually a poker addict, lol. Cool!
