CHEZ106 proudly presents EXPERIENCE HEDNRIX-2010 Tribute Tour which will take place Monday November 1st-8pm at Southam Hall, National Arts Centre.

• Jimi's music performed in concert by an all-star line-up including: Bill Cox (Band of Gypsys & The Jimi Hendrix Experience), Steve Vai, Jonny Lang, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Randolph, Living Colour, Ernie Isley, Chris Layton (of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble), The Slide Brothers (a/k/a Chuck & Darick Campbell of Sacred Steel), Mato (of Indigenous).
• For the first time in its history, Experience Hendrix, the concert tour that has dazzled audiences, revisiting the music and inspiration of Jimi Hendrix by an all-star line up of music greats, will be re-launched within a single calendar year. The Experience Hendrix Tour, which crisscrossed America this past March for a string of sold-out concerts, will return this October and November to the U.S. and will perform, for the first time, in Canada...November 1st in Ottawa (National Arts Centre).

I bet the show you mention would kick ass, I just feel leave Hendrix to Hendrix, Steve Vai would do Red house and others on the G3 tours and they sounded like Vai playing hendrix, same with SRV, ITs the blues king doing Hendrix. BUt Im sure that kind of lineup you mention is beyond kick ass. Yall seem to get some cool shows in Canada

Greatest guitarist that ever lived.(or ever will live) problem is that as dan said nobody sounds like him ....he was too good to be imitated...I had the pleasure of seeing him once and he was head and shoulders above everybody else that performed that night (including deep purple and the nice)

Google Experience Hendrix Tour. There playing most of upper NY, New Jersey, Detriot Michigan,etc.I think southernmost I saw on schedule was Foxwoods casino in Conneticut.Jeff Lang is another good guitarist. Quite a line up of great guitarists and I,m sure will cover the songs pretty well.
