Holy crap the wall live

GOT BACK FROM TAMPA a few days ago and I watched the YOU TUBE shots of the wall but

OMG

WE were nosebleeds and and above the wall and the plane flew on on our side of the stage and crashed into the WALL

HOnestly the music wasnt as good as the REAL FLOYD but this was an attack on the eyes on the eyes and I cnat describe it but DAMN GODDBYE BLUE SKIES with all the planes THE WALL WAS LIKE A TECHNO MOVIE PROJECTOR (GOT YOU TUBE AND LOOK)

The only unrealistic thing when the wall came down there was no dust or smoke it just fell but DAMN thats the least of the worries, WHen the put in the final few bricks (the song is called the last few bricks (the images looked like the wall was gone) but there was one brick left and GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD and Roger sang out of it with a spot light out of the one brick and said goodbye and the WALL was complete.

JUST AND AWESOME SHOW but I wish it was PINK FLOYD not WATERS cause SNOWY WHITE WHO IS BAD ASS IS NOT GILMOUR on the COMFY NUMB SOLO

Ya its always gonna be either not Waters or not Gilmour I guess--so sad.

Saw Aussie Pink Floyd perform The Wall it 2 years ago. Not Waters, not Gilmour but still a great show.

One town is gonna hit the jackpot. Waters did some benfit show for Gilmour sometime ago (dont when) but Gilmour is gonna return the favor and play COmfy Numb on one of the Wall dates. Most likely in the UK.

The show was a visual attack on the eyes and for most parts the songs were true the originals. The only exceptions were, DONT LEAVE ME NOW (just came off kind of dry for such a psychotic song) - Run like hell (Didnt sound quite right and then they took some liberties mid way through) and The Trial (where it kicks in hard rock during the verdict reading didnt really have a big punch as it does on the album)

VIsually just a total mind blower, Using the wall to be a movie projector also made the stage look like one big screen and excpet where the bricks werent. Goodbye blue sky was probably the best visual of this with all the planes flying right at you on the wall and the middle round screen. During ONE OF MY TURNS they had a mini movie of the girl talking on only one side of the wall as the built the other side. SIDE 2 has the best visuals of the whole show

INTERMISSION had something called the WALL of hope (???) each brick had a fallen soldiers name on it and picture.

SIDE 3 HEY YOU - COMFY NUMB was kind of dry since Hey you was just the music very little visuals - IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE they open up a small place where you could see some of the band- NOBODY HOME was what you expected ROG watching TV (He has done this a lot of his tours) VERA had an unexpected very sad or happy homecoming of a girl hugging a soldier and then COMFY NUMB as great a song really not much going except Snowy at the top of the wall doing the solo and ROg at the bottom singing.

SIDE 4 ODD ALSO SHOW MUST GO ON looked like the Bohemian Rhapsody video with the bands members singing in front of the wall - I dunno IT just side 2 was so great that it was hard to re captured all that again expecially with Side 3 being so non visual. AND with OUTSIDE THE WALL ending the show, I dunno

By "some Benefit" you probably mean Live 8

NO after LIVE 8 it was some event for like 200 people and Waters and Gilmour did like 5 songs and GIlmour said he return the favor by doing COMFY NUMB on Waters WALL tour. There is a recent ROLLING STONE MAG with waters and its amazing since I have the issue in 86 where waters said all the effects and FLoyd is mine and the dry ice is theirs (ONLY) until now where ROger said he really wanted Gilmour to do this tour with him but GIlmour said no but since Waters did the benefit for Kids that he do one solo for him

I NEED CLARIFCATION AND I CANT FIND THIS ANYWHERE I have circus magazine from late 79 early 80s where it said Gilmour broke Waters Arm to get a solo on the WALL, but I havent benn able to back this up IF anyone wants to see I have it scanned and can post up here if its not too big or send it to your email, BUt I Need to know if this true since only CIRCU mag reported it
