Default WSOP Fantasy Picks on FTP

Thought I'd start a thread for those who are participating in the WSOP Fantasy Picks on FulltiltPoker.
After the first 14 events (having made picks in 12 of them) I've picked up 7 freeroll entries & 1 Fulltilt Hat so far. Putting a bit of time into making my picks & so far it seems to be paying off (or I'm just getting lucky).
Maybe post in here, who your picks for an Event are, how many of your picks still left in an event, freeroll entries won, etc. etc.
Yesterday I had two of my picks make it to the final 5 players in the 2-7 drw that Juanda won, (had Juanda as one of my picks) but still didn't win a freeroll entry for it (only had him as my 'C' player).
For the cheaper nlhe events, I've been picking alot of the online tournament players (especially the US players who now because they're unable to play on FTP & Stars, I'm assuming will be entering ALOT of the nlhe events... & personally I think the top online players are the 'top' players period.. ie. Moorman, Steve Gross, Dan Kelly, Kevin Saul, Yvegniy Timoshenko, Jon Turner, Tony Dunst, etc.).

gl to all who are playing in this & looking forward to hearing about your results!

Nobody else playin' the FTP Fantasy WSOP?

I've now won 10 freeroll entries & Two FTP Hats!!

Tonight in Event #26 I had Chris Moorman as an 'A' pick & he took 3rd place ($815,400 fantasy dollars) which should give me another Freeroll entry & maybe even another FTP Hat!

Event #27 LimHE $10K WorldChampionship, with 5 players left in it I've got one of my 'A' picks sitting as the chip leader > Daniel Idema. Should be good for another freeroll win there too (maybe another FTP hat! lol).

Event #28 was a dud, only one of my picks placed ITM, way back in 129th (nlhe events seem to be the most difficult to pick the winners in).

Event #29, 10-game 6max, 42players left (just about close to the bubble now), I've got 3 picks still in it, including one of my 'A' picks bein' the Chipleader (Shaun Deeb!!!!), also a 'B' pick sitting in 10th (Shawn Buchanan) & a 'C' pick in 11th (Marco Traniello).

Event #31, PLO $3,000 with ~674 players still left in it, I don't think I've got many of my picks still in.... Juanda in 16th ('B' pick), Terence Chan 29th ('C'), & Andrew 'LuckyChewy' Lichtenberger sitting 26th ('B').

It's not too late to join this if you're still able to login to Fulltilt Poker. There's still a bunch of freeroll entries to be won ($500 freerolls). I'm shooting for 20 freeroll entries & 4 hats (far more than I got in yrs. past but have put some time into selecting my picks this year... although I know of a couple others who just randomly made their picks & they're crushing me in the overall leaderboard (but I think they still have less freeroll/hat wins).

Moorman ended up getting donked in #26 & went out in 4th. (AQ < A2o which was a big hit to his stack). Even with him finishing in 4th & as my 'A' pick, I didn't win the FTP hat (got 63rd).
Picked up another freeroll win in #27 (placed 37th overall).
Brings my Total to > 12 freeroll entries won, & 2 Fulltilt Hats!!! THis is just halfway through the schedule & missed the first big one (HeadsUp).

Blanked #28 ($1500 nlhe) but picked a winner for my friend > Phil Collins placing 129th as a 'C' picks which put them in 836th which was enough for a 'Freeroll Entry' win.

Total Fantasy Dollars is now at: $3,706,183 ranked 88th overall. Top100 overall after MnEv. advance to a freeroll where winner gets a 2012 MainEvent pkg. Here's hoping, lol.

Isn't anyone else entering in this? I'm hoping to win at least 20 freeroll entries & a couple more FTP hats (if I'm lucky, lol).

Was doing great in Ev.#33 Stud H/L $10,000 World Championship, with around 7 of my picks still in it late last night. This morning I check it again & only have one player left in it, lol,... & he's in last place of 18 left (Jon Turner, co-author of 'Winning Poker Tournaments - One Hand At A Time').

Event #34, $1k nlhe, 'We're in the money!!' but with only one pick still in the race - - 'Adam Levy' sitting in 138th. Not too many of the 'available' picks still in this (a few of them) so this might be good enough for a freeroll win. Wishing there were some players on that 'available' pick list that aren't there, ie. Adam Geyer (csimmsux on FTP, guy just crushes online & currently sitting in 2nd in wsop nlhe event). Others I wish were on there > Kory Kilpatrick (S00tedj0kers on FTP), Brynn Kenney, Owen Crowe (adan12 on FTP), Alex Kamberis (AJKHoosier), Mickey Peterson (mement_mori), Taylor Paur (taypaur), Anthony Spinella (holdplz), & Paul Volpe (paulgees81).

Anyone else making picks in the Fulltilt WSOP Fantasy??? Great way to get a bankroll started (by winnning entries into the $500 freerolls). The freerolls have flat payout structures with a large % of players getting paid (not great for 'big' cashes but good for folks wanting to go for multiple smaller cashes). Also a good oppurtunity to play other games besides nlhe. Makes following the WSOP results more fun too! (I'd even be willing to throw out a few names/suggestions for some picks in upcoming events).

Also, in case you weren't aware, the top 10 finishers in each freeroll advance to a final freeroll where FTP is giving away a seat to the 2012 WSOP MainEvent!!! (freeroll should have ~600 players max. in it). Top100 of the final leaderboard standings in the Fantasy League also win an entry to the final freeroll.

Event #35 I picked Mercier who won it & Tom Dwan who placed 16th... but still didn't manage to place in top 1,000 .. sigh > no freeroll for that one.

Possible win in #36 with my pick 'David Pham' placing 37th & bein' my 'A' pick. We'll see.

Way back in the overall standings now, Event#35 was a killer for that. Now sitting in 246th overall with $4,626,821 fantasy dollars.

event #37 (HORSE $10K) is still looking good... one of my 'B' picks is the chip leader (Shaun Buchanan) wiht just 21 players left in it, & also have John Monette sitting in 12th.

event #38 nlhe $1500, just one pick still in it, Melanie Wesner sitting in 44th with 243 players left (but not many big names left so this might be good ftw!)

event #39.... not looking good at all

event #40 still real early but good to see alot of my picks are actually playing in it (6max $5k) although one of my usual picks is in 2nd but I didn't pick him in this one .. sigh > Faraz Jaka ('The Toilet' on FTP). This seems to be happening to me often, I'll pick one player in four or five events, then finally give up on them & they'll go deep once I stop picking them.

Still some tourneys to go here folks. Get your picks in.

Oh yah, have only played in one of the donkroll wins so far, finishing 66th in the Omaha H/L donkament for a min. cash of the big $2 (yah.. the freerolls suck.. but it's the challenging of winning the entries that motivates me... & I want more FTP HATS!!! lol).
