I think that means your a very good player. In any poker game that has tons of ppl in it getting deep in the tourney means you played very well and occasianally got lucky. It is never easy to get deep in a big tourney. You must play very good poker to get that far espically making the final table. Also there probably a lot of donks and fish out there so surving through them is a great challenge. 2nd place out of 1500 ppl is awesome. congrats man and keep that going.

I have won a couple of pacific freeroll tourney`s with 2000 in them and afew final tables, I have won a titan freeroll as well and placed in a few more and the best I have done is 17th in a 12500 freeroll on party and you could say in all of them luck was a huge part of it, but my judgement with raises and calls and folds and all ins was just pure skill lol and dont let any1 tell you any different.
Buy ins are different to freerolls and require mostly skill. ie: your not going to commit half to 3/4 of your chips calling with a K 10 o/s where as in a freeroll you probably will think hard about it.
We all make bad plays and that doesnt make you a bad player when you consistently repeat them that makes you a bad player.
just a footnote : i regod for a freeroll at pacific but went out before it started, my 14 yr old daughter played it.
She ran 4th out of 2000, she does know wat is a good hand and that but she knows nothing about position or pot odds and such.
hehehe makes you want to get on pacific and clean em up for some good cash eh.

i think it would be safe to say that you are a good freeroll player and if you reach the last 20 or so of these kind of tournaments this proves that you must have skills for the game.
having said that a 1500 freeroll compared to say a $10 buy-in is a completely different experience (especially from the mental point of view) and in this respect you'll have to try it to find out..........just because it is, doesn't make it so !!!
