news on the tv works best for me. or some movie/dvd I've seen 100x or so. something that's not gonna distract you from your puter, but silence... that would encourage me to be more board than I already am and get involved with hands I shouldn't. If music is it 4 u, good. Balance 2 me is the key. Too little distraction = board um. Too much distraction and you'll miss out on something a player does that prolly help you make a tough decision later on in the game. Try different things, but always remember, if you are playing poker, than do that. Play poker, anything, everything else is "noise"...

I just let my playlist run quietly in the background, it's basically everything I like which is pretty much anything but RnB and Rap (although there is some Run DMC, TuPac and ONE eminem song on there.)
My favourite bands to play with poker are the rock and roll and country rock bands like Bon Jovi, Poison or Razorlite

To me, the best music to listen to while playing poker online is Heavy Metal/Alternative.
System of a Down, Ministry, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Gravity Kills, Sisters of Mercy, etc.

Old AC/DC with Bon Scott is my favorite to listen to while playing cards in general.

Whatever music you listen to...as long as your listening to music, it's all good!

Metal, Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop, Rap, Reggae, Classical, Jazz....turn it up!

There are times when silence is best, too. I guess it all depends, doesn't it?
