ok..poket JACKS..now they suk,just like AA and KK. is only a pair,ya might as well be holdin' DUECES.now.dependin' on possition,WHICH IS HUGE when holdin' JJ.
Early: seat1 being SB and seat2 being SB,so anywhere in the 3rd or 4th seat,I go 2x.. will be just fine...that way you'll only 2x the blind when the brings 2 overs.
Middle:depending on what 3rd and 4th seat did(say they both folded)..
then 3x should be enough to maybe take it down pre..if not and your raise is called..well..since your outta position already..bet it.no matter what the flop is,even if you hit a set on a spreadout rainbow board.
Late:7 seat on to BB..I'm pumpin it 3x times for sure,maybe 4x.
either way.there are so many hands that can beat just 1 pair of "jacks" after the flop,is best to try and take it down before the flop.
NOW: with any raise that is min. to 3x..I'm callin' ..as long as it's not followed by a rediculious "all-in"..because chances are there is an A K and possibly a Q out there,if not QQ KK AA..so with that being said. better hope your JJ can dodge machine gun fire.and or might even have to call for another troop to set you.
