Online Poker for me vs Live

I have never played poker live, I like sitting in my room hiding behind the monitor. I would like too try Live poker but I don't see me going too the WSOP like some dream of. I am more of a online player I don't know if I could play live because I would probley be easily read. I will be the one all lit up like a Christmas tree holding the pocket A's with a big grin on my face.

You should try it, the experience is different but well worth the effort. I managed to find a "rookies night" at my local casino, been there four or five times now and earlier this week I won the rookie tournament. £10 to enter, and I won £220.

I prefer playing live cuz A. you can see your oppenent and read them easier and B. your hands aren't computer generated .... I don't know about you but when I play online i Tend to see hands with high odds hit for example 3 people at the table will all split with the same straight .... thats rare when you play live

I've never played a real live tournament too, only played live cash games, it's very different and more exciting than online. Hope you'll have a chance to try it soon

i've played and playing both live and online consisnainly, and the thing i like online better, is that you see way more hands than you do live. ill put it this way: online you see so many hands that even a good laydown is not cruicial bacause better hands will come, eventually...

but say you are sitting at a live table, getting no hands at all for the last hour in a way that even your folded hands wouldnt even make a pair on the board, and suddenly you get something like 55 - 77 in late position after the pot was raised from middle position and you even have the big blind who also decided to see the flop with something.... well, go get a figure if you hit nothing there on the flop... in live games the actual dealing, deciding, chip counting-collecting becomes a very annoying part of the long game and for that fact you can easily spend 4 hours of playing with a feeling you couldnt catch a single starting hand.

and when it happens, and it often does, then you start bluffing because you wont let others push you arround and this strategy may turn into big losses.

online, the game is more about odds, so you may base your decisions better and faster and cheaper IMO if you try to play the same solid game as you play live.
