Post Haven't Gotten Past Saw III Yet

I'm a child of the 80's, so I grew up watching movies like "Friday the 13th", "Halloween" and the Freddy Kruger, "Nightmare on Elm Street" type of movies. Even then, I just had to watch them, but when they got to the blood and guts, gory, gross parts, I was usually looking at the screen through my fingers or a hole in the blanket.

I still like horror movies, but I think the psycological type plots are what I like the most. When I watched the first "Saw" movie, I really liked that aspect of it. I have a vivid imagination and that first movie didn't "show" me as much as next one.

My most vivid memory of "Saw II" was the scene where the girl fell into the hole full of needles. How many people like getting just one little shot, let alone a thousand of them just jammed into every part of your body...yuk!! I still liked "Saw II" and looked forward to the third installment.

All I can say about that one is OMG! My chest hurts just thinking about it and that was one of the first scenes in the movie. It kinda ruined the rest of it for me..just too much I guess. So, I have not even wanted to watch the rest...yet. Who knows, maybe I'll get the urge sometime.

I just heard there is a new Rob Zombie movie coming out....Anyone ever seen "House of a Thousand Corpses?" Veeerrry Freaky!!!

The new Saw movie installment was ok. If you enjoyed the previous ones, you will probably enjoy this one. The first Saw movie is the best of the series. But isn't that true about most movies?

If you really enjoy horror, may I recommend checking out the first Hostel movie?

IMO the second Hostel movie was quite boring in comparison, so don't bother with that one.

Another great horror flick is Wrong Turn. I haven't seen Wrong Turn II: Dead End yet. I hope it's good! It must be worth seeing just because Henry Rollins is in it!

    Enjoy!
