Making my own table

I am really excited because soon I am going to build my own poker table. I've seen a couple of pretty solid plans out on the internet. Now it is about deciding to add cup-holders or not. Anyway I wanted to know if anyone has any experience doing this and if they could post up their screen shots that would be very cool.

Seems to be a good idea Stixy, but don't forget that your fingers are important for OL poker and try to keep them in one piece.
If i had to create my own table, i would probably add some leds and an overview cam to create fun movies, but i'm definetely to lazy for that, plus i don't have any tools to do it proper.

really, your choices are the oval "racetrack" and the octagon style. In any case, pay attention to the padding for elbows and hands.

would love to see pics as you work on it!

p.s. I like a table that has a "dealers" area. A lot of home games, the dealer is each player in succession, but at times, u might have a dealer/non player

I was planning an racetrack version with purple felt and the Minnesota Viking in the middle. I gotta figure out how to put the viking on the felt, but shouldn't be too much trouble. I'll check out that site.

Checkout a local sign shop. I have a buddy that runs one and he does stuff like that all the time. The cheapest and easiest would prob. be to have them do the logo in that iron on stuff, like the stuff used to put on shirts, then you can put it on after it is all finished and it is smooth so cards will slide good on it. I do suggest picking a better team lol

hahaha no love for the purple people eaters. Yeah I looked at that site, some guy did his logo through a local guy who did spray on stuff for t-shirts. So yeah... gotta find someone with skills on the airbrush.

i refelted my pool table with an eagles logo. i bought the felt with the eagles logo already on it at a billiard supply shop, hope that can be some help to you.

I'll most likely go with a more ghetto logo formation due to the price of vikings billiart felt (500$) lol

Defo add the cup holders mate as there is nothing worse than a slight spillage or condensation from a glass with ice in it getting on the table and making the cards all sticky, you know what people can be like with drinks etc aftera few and getting excited with a hand :-)

Good luck with the table and be sure to post it up here when finished, its something I am going to do eventually but havnt got room for it yet.
