Strongest Leg
Which of the 5 varieties offered in HORSE play is your strongest?
I tend to make the most chips during the Razz portion of HORSE tournaments. People for some reason play the Razz leg very loose.

Mine tend to be razz of stud. The weird thing is stud is my worst game but it seems that it's most horse players weakest game so I tend to chip up pretty well in stud. Oh is ok but there is a lot of blind calling in oh. so can be hit or miss.

good survey for next game ?
hi
good survey to have in time for the next game - find everyones weak links ;-)
anyway I'd say my favourite and probably best game is omaha hi/lo but in fairness I really prefer playing PL omaha hi (but that isnt in HORSE)
stuggle with razz and stud not so good at betting correctly - in fairness I'm not good at betting any limit games correctly IMHO
so there you go all my weaknesses in one post ;-)

Razz here too. Most seem to go a street too far with highish cards.

well, to me, there are really only 3 varieties in horse. The razz and stud are all up card games, where if u even pay a little attention to folded cards and whats showing, u can figure things out. They are my strongest, next to HE, which I mostly play. The Omaha part I am still working on

I tend to think that everybody have some weaknesses while playing HORSE cause each variety would need a life to master it, so that with 3 different ones, you would need 3 lifes. While talking about varieties we should consider that RSE are all part of the same one. So that i can't really answer well this question as i usually grab much chips while playing razz and usually tend to be highly tight when playing Stud and Stud8.
Let's say that i usually like the switch between Stud8 and Holdem as everybody looks like they finally have cards to play with.

I think that Stud8 is easier than Stud as Omaha8 looks easier to master than Omaha.
Anyway my words were somehow dicted by another related thread where i learnt about Razz and Stud being the same variety.
But in truth, you can't plan on catching good cards at the right variety and you need a bit of the knowledge in every game, why we all like it i guess. Plus this push everyone to sharpen their games and learn new plays.
See ya later Stixy.

The worst leg of the game is the Holdem leg imo. Players raise with Ace-anything. No low pair is safe. I find limit holdem a bit Bingo-ish. As whoever happens to hit anything on the flop will usually win the hand. I,d prefer to play O.R.S.E. as I like all the other legs of the game.

THE WORD TO THE WISE.. PLAY ONLY THE GAMES YOU ARE STRONGER AT.. THE REST JUST BE THERE FOR APPEARANCE SAKE.. AND STEAL WHENEVER YAH CAN SAYS PLAYFUL.. IN PLAYFUL'S CASE RAZZ AND OMAHA H/L IS HER FAVORITE GAMES IN HORSE SO SHE DOES VERY WELL IN BUILDING UP AND GOOD CHIP STACK AND USUALLY FINISHES IN THE MONEY
