Just wanted to drop in and say hi!

i hope my english is not too bad for u

I started to play poker 2months ago(so u may call me a little fish ) and last week i tried to play onlinepoker with real money...
I think i am very new to poker, but i ve experienced a lot of ups and downs.
I began my career at poker.com, where i started with 60dollars. 1day later my bankroll was about 20...3days later 300....then i tried some bigger tables(ringgames)...unfortunately the players were much better than those in the lower tables---> down to 79^^

i hope i will earn in the nearly future some money with poker and win some tournaments.
maybe we see each at a final table

From your post you were doing ok playing at the lower limits - which is definately the right thing to do with a limited bankroll

you shouldnt move up a limit until you have 20-30 x the new limit

even at the lowest limits most sites offer $100 is the absolute minmum you should deposit to play without having to worry that your ok

even for lower limit this should be nearer $200

then if you want to move up just one limit - ie double the BB you need at least $400

if you stick at the limits your at until you have $400 then you will be pretty safe

ty for your advice, i think i will stick to it.

joining a 50c/$1 table with just $40 is really stupid when everybody has §100-200...the first days i played just premium hands and i've won lots of chips, but these times passed... *smile*


which tables do u prefer? 6/10? i m very interested in sng games, but i m afraid, coz i ve heard that many good poker players just earn their money with sngs and tourneys.

i ve made some rules for myself.
my intial deposit was $60, when i had 120 i withdrawed 60^^
->$60 bankroll, -->build up to 140-->$80 withdrawel--->60bankroll to 160-->withdraw 100

so u see, my first plan was to play safe...i wanted to get small winnings, but it is hardly to realise to earn these amounts with just 60dollars... i think this was a mistake. i ve mad that plan because i still go to school, so i was interested to inscrease my "pocket money"..which is very limited.

hmm enuf of talking...i m gonna win the 20k freeroll later this evening, hope to see u there!
