This is the offical statement from Titan Poker about the US online gambling bill "US Poker Ban"
"Titan Poker Affiliate Statement
Due to the imminent passing of the Federal Unlawful Gambling Enforcement Act by the United States Senate on September 30, 2006, and in line with the high level of service that we have always provided to our affiliates, it is important for us to advise you that our clients have decided not to accept wagers from residents in the United States. We will therefore stop handling U.S.-based traffic effective October 4 2006.
While the timing of this is a shock to us all, we have been preparing for this possibility for quite some time, and already have the infrastructure in place to make this transition a relatively smooth one.
We will honor all of our commitments and you will be paid in full for all U.S. revenue, but from October 4 2006, U.S. based players will not be able to open new accounts or make deposits."

I am from the US. I contacted them regarding this, and they said I can no longer make deposits there. They did say that as long as I had money there, I could play or withdraw as long as I wanted to.
we have been advised that Titan are now closed to US players - but rest assured Titan will do right by its players whether from the US or elsewhere
This also goes for all the other sites we have recommended in the past - they are all very sure to point out that players even in the event of them closing to US market will be able to have access to their money
Which is reassuring - the good solid sites won't run off with anyones cash whatever happens / is happening
cheers scrawnybob

Yeah tell me about it. Friday night they told me I was good just wouldn't be able to deposit anymore. Then on Monday my I couldn't access any tables. What BS. They should have just been honest from the beginning. So I cashed in my 79,000 points, and on to other sites I go, prob Full Tilt and Poker.com
Yes it could have been handled better by most sites but ipoker was one of the worst with the misinformation but I was able to get most of my money out of all ipoker sites except for the ones with micro winnings from freerolls. So I guess I'm glad for that. I will miss these sites who turned their backs on us. They are rich and probably won't miss me. Sad isn't it?
I disagree...I believe that all of these "jump the gun" card rooms are going to regret losing you, Mike, and every other US player...we represent a big revenue pool. I don't understand this defeatist attitude of these sites. They have 270 days to figure out how they can continue to service US customers, and even if the regulations are promulgated before 270 days...so what!...work on the problem for as long as you can, I say. In the meantime I'm going to reward the card rooms that WANT my business and the others can go pound sand.
