    Default Payouts?

I'm setting up a home game in late December. I need some suggestions for payouts. Buyin is 25$ and we're lookin at between 15 and 35 people. Anyone have any ideas?

    Default xmas game payouts...

    If it were me...

    20 people ($500)
    Top 4 get paid
    230
    130
    90
    50

    30 people ($750)
    Top 5 get paid
    300
    190
    130
    80
    50

I like the last place money spot to get 2x their buy-in (I get the same feeling of zero accomplishment from finishing out of the money as i do from just getting my buy-in back)

game back in VA eh? I'll be back that way for the holidays too, needing a chance to recoup christmas costs...

what freestylejoker said looks good. You might also think about adding a bounty to it. say $2 or so goes to bounty pool. Then that way you get some winners that tho only making a few bucks back, get intrigued by the game and come back for the next time.

    i think you should payout 40% 30% 20% 10%.

So top 4 in a 30 person game? I know I said you dont have to be specific.... but I'm retracting that statement.

We play a home game where there's usually 40 players- pay to 5.. I would suggest pay to five, it may be a little less prize for each, but would make more peole happy. Have fun

In my opinion i think that %50 should be given to first place and the other 50% split between the other 3 spots so 4 would pay out but first should be %50 of the prizepool.

We play a once a month deal and field is about 30-40 people. top 6 get paid. Payouts are pretty good especially since it's a small field.

In normal cases a 30players tournament pays place 1-4,
but i am wondering about that and the sng's..

So if you compare normal sng with 10 Players, first 3 get paid, would mean with 30 players = Top 9 get paid or am i wrong???

Razello is right about the pays, also, been a festivities game in home, its more for fun than for the money, maybe more people need to be pay.

    I recommend you this Stix.

    20 people (500) 6 pay

    150
    90
    80
    70
    60
    50

    30 people (750) 8 pay
    180
    120
    100
    90
    80
    70
    60
    50

Maybe less amount with more pays, but first place get 6x the buy-in in 20 people and 7x the buy in in 30, i think is ok.
