I Miss Felt
Playing online poker really just makes me miss the felt THAT much more. I don't care as much about making money, I just really love the game. And live is the TRUE game. No sidebar stats, no stupid avatars, no CONNECTION PROBLEMS, no alert sounds, no ridiculously abusive chat (cuz he'll get knocked out), no deposit problems, no gov't regulation problems, no MULTI TABLING, no bull sh*t... just poker.

I disagree, On line is far better than Live ( I know I would have said different a year ago)
Why I think so!
OK
1/ you are in your own crib with no distractions just business !
2/ You don't have to indulge in the niceties of socialising.
3/ It's cheaper and easier to win.
4/ no body gets to know the way you play if you are clever.
5/ you don't have to listen to endless bad beat storeys and hand analysis, by some fuck wit, who usually are going to marry some chick from Thailand, and after losing at poker go and throw the rest of there money in a slot machine.
Thank God for the net!

Online Poker Has No Soul
I agree with Stix: I unfortunately never had the pleasure of playing live poker, but have spent my share of time in Reno playing blackjack etc.... and being in the casino playing is all about the atmosphere, the socializing with fellow players, all the sites and sounds that go on in the background at the casino.
When i'm playing online its to much like playing a computer game as most OL sites are cartoon like. I'm sure that PKR is as real as it gets but would still give me that "Im playing online in my house feel"Last edited by derringer007; 04-23-2009 at 03:38 PM.

I've played live a few times.
The majority have been 'meets' that a forum has organised, therefore I've had chance to build a few friendships through shared banter in games and forum threads before we've met face to face.
These events have been as much about the socialising as the poker and I've had some really good weekends away from the humdrum of daily life (more importantly away from teenage offspring lol), meeting people in the flesh and forging life long friendships.
Last year I was lucky enough to play Event #52 at the WSOP..
I have to say I've had more pleasure on those weekends away meeting up with people I play against regularly than I had playing the WSOP.
The WSOP is a very lonely place and to be quite honest with no chat/banter I was bored within the first hour lol
